We paid more than 10mil when we signed him from Fulham....so taking a loss!...Hopefully it will make the signing of Mahrez easier!

Manchester City have completed the signing of the Fulham teenager Patrick Roberts in a further move to boost their homegrown ranks.

Roberts, who plays as a forward or winger, has moved for an undisclosed fee but the figure is understood to be £11m, with £5m up front for the 18-year-old with a further £6m in add-ons.
Nope. £6M.

The telegraph also confirmed the 11mil deal in report on 4th June mate....

Roberts, the £11m signing from Fulham, is expected to join Leicester when the protracted deal for Mahrez is finally thrashed out between the two clubs.
Unless you know the conditions for the add ons, which you don't, it's impossible to say either way. Regardless, we got 10m for a guy who has potential, but not with us, and who wasn't even starting every game for Celtic last season when healthy.

Mate, if you really want to be picky, multiple sources confirmed a 11mil(total) deal was agreed, so we were legally bound to pay that sum if all targets were met, so unless you know as "fact" all targets were missed its just as likely to be 11mil as not and if it is the 11mil total that we agreed, then the reported 10mil sale would be a loss...thats all I'm saying!

Exactly what I said mate. Impossible to know for certain if its 5, 11, or somewhere in between.

we obviously haven't paid any of those addons

So at least 33m in sales so far to offset outlay againt Mahrez and Jorghino if Roberts and Zinchenko are sold for the sums stated.

  1. Zinchenko 12m/16m
  2. Roberts 10m
  3. Maffeo 9m
  4. Angelino 5m
  5. Kayode 2.5m
  • 38.5m/42.5m
+ Davenport "undisclosed", apparently a six-figure fee

Just looked at the City watch website. It doesn’t appear to be terribly reliable. In the last few days they have made a number of statements and none of the have actually happened. I guess we have to wait for the official website for the real stories.

City watch just collate news stories on City from around the web. None of the content is theirs outside the opinion pieces.

The website simply quotes the stories from other publications worldwide. It never purports to be accurate. It’s an excellent website.

Where on earth is the fun in that??

Based on nothing in other threads I'll now go with

1) Etihad are going bust
2) We've got a loan with a bank because all our other sponsors have pulled out due to the above
3) we're selling players to cover short term wages until the main players return and are shipped out.
4) we've offered £200million for Fellaini based on his WC
and finally
5) we're reducing the stadium capacity to 30k so the surrounding infrastructure can finally cope
