£1 p/week, would save a lot in wages tbf.At this rate we'll be bringing Yaya back.

I love our stance on shit like this.
well done city.
+1....and i...I was hoping this deal would have gone through by now. Nobody knows what the hold up is on here, however, not worried about Chelsea yet because Sari is not even their Manager yet.

Considering it's us who've been dragging this for over a month, I think it's a bit rich to start questioning Jorginho's intentions. If the club gave him an ultimatum then let’s see his true intentions...Im more excited for Mahrez personally...

'Intentions' or 'interests' work both ways. We aren't exactly bidding for slaves who have no needs or desires of their own.
End of the day he's a person too and if he's going to see City delay things for so long, I wouldn't blame him one bit if he chooses the next suitor if they're willing to wrap things up quickly, pay more, and offer the situation of living in London.
We can all then sit and clap at the 'principle' of standing firm over a few million quid, if we do end up cocking this up.
I personally think it's hilarious how we purportedly take a stance of only signing players who think City are the only worthwhile club to join in the world, as if we've already attained Real Madrid status. Don't get me wrong, I'd love a bit of swagger about us as a club, but there's a thin line between that and delusion.
Couldn't agree with you more. People need to stop thinking that Pep is the be-all in football. At the end of the day, if Jorginho chooses money we should be the last set of fans to complain about players choosing money. Some of the posts in here seem extremely arrogant and RAWKish.Considering it's us who've been dragging this for over a month, I think it's a bit rich to start questioning Jorginho's intentions.

So many people who feel they have an understanding of what this negotiation has been like. We have absolutely no clue who is or will be at fault. It's just as likely that ADL was always going to come up with new clauses and things to stall the deal to bring Chelsea into it as it is that we were being extremely cheap. Who the hell can know. We are impatient and that's our right as fans but there's little reason to do anything but trust the club to handle the business side and if this target doesn't work out it will only be one among dozens albeit one we hear more about than most.

how do you know its us dragging our heels, in fact what the fuck are you talking about, who has said they only want players to think we are the only worthwhile club , who has said any of what you wrote, has this thing been going on long inside your head ,Considering it's us who've been dragging this for over a month, I think it's a bit rich to start questioning Jorginho's intentions.

Thank you. If the player agrees to a move and the club spend the next two months haggling over £2m or whatever and another good option meets the asking price in the meantime, it's our problem if he chooses to accept the other, not his. Debate the merits of us deciding not to meet the asking price but blaming the player is something the boys down at 'istory FC do.It's not even about money. These players are making massive life decision which involve uprooting their families and moving to a new country with few/no friends.
If you fuck about too much and leave people with so much of their life up in the air, sometimes they're going to grab onto a concrete solid offer even if it only offers 90% of what the dream move did.
Whilst I firmly believe, and have throughout, we'll sign him, if he does go to Chelsea will the "wet fannies" etc get a 5-10 minute window to return personal abuse?
