Personally I think keeper and CB, are the most important positions. Tempo tends to start with them positions. We were able to rotate the pivot possession last season with s lot of success.

I'm not bothered as I don't know his game. How do you know we haven't got feelers out for other players? If we haven't signed him, I think it's a conscious decision rather than an error. I think we must have known what was going on, and either were powerless to stop it, or didn't want him enough to try and make him ours.

Agree re Jourgingo he’d be nice but not game changing for us. Disagree re standing still. We need to avoid the failings of our last two championships- where we failed to strengthen and didn’t defend the title successfully. We do need a couple of players.

At the end of the day if a player chooses to go elsewhere to ply his trade then theres not a lot we can do about it.Add onto that the arsehole Italian who we now seem to acknowledge has been waiting for this move of Chelsea to come along,then no wonder the deal has been protracted.
All Jorginho has to say is "fuck off I don`t want to go to Chelsea" and the doors will open again.If not then he really didn`t want to play for Pep at all.His loss not ours.

No one is going to argue that we've got the best squad in the prem (with or without Jorginho) but this summer wasnt about standing still and trusting what we already have. The chairman confirmed he had to learn from past mistakes after winning seasons and the plan was for a couple of high quality signings that would bring competition to the sqaud. I trust the club to find another option but "if" Jorginho does sign with Chelsea (big if as no-one knows anything yet!) that would be our top 2 targets for the DM position that we got outbid on...Walking away from Fred, if knowing Jorginho is in the bag would make perfect sense....walking away from both Fred and Jorginho wouldnt seem part of the plan...I understand the club wanting to make sure these players are fully committed to us before signing but after months of talks, you can understand any good agent wanting the best deal for his client, especially if talks look like they going nowhere with us...
