It’s not a blame game. It’s a PR game. City had no need to expose themselves to looking stupid and out of the loop. It was an unecessary and pointless risk.

What is the risk exactly?

This is all much to do about nothing.

City have had their say. If he goes to Chelsea he goes to Chelsea.

Can't believe the last 4 pages have been debating a fucking press release for christ sake.

It means fuck all unless you work in the media, one or two may well pedal the brief and of course its them that look like the twats. Not City. We brief it, it doesn't have to be published.

If he turns up at Chelsea then we briefed a lie, when there was no need to do so, never mind trusting the word of any agent or player, which is amateurish in the extreme.

City must either be 100 per cent certain he is our player or accept they have dropped a bollock.
Folk on here would watch the entire club's pay roll plough their missus and offer them a cup of tea afterwards than ever accept such a thing.

Still no stories in tonights press.
Contact has only recently been initiated between Chelsea and Jorginho+Agent - if at all.
This will drag on well into next week - maybe beyond.
Medical? Not in London - either yesterday or today.
The Gazetta will deliver the inside information soon enough. Naples leaks like a sive to the press.

I can't for the life of me see how that would make us look stupid. If the info turns out to be false it just makes them look like lying, two faced ****s.

Yep that’s my thoughts too he goes to Chelsea Napoli will look lying two faced scum bags

It's one thing being completely taken for a ride, it's another thing advertising the fact.

What we are good at is determining players that will fit in, learn and develop. Our negotiation skills have a way to go, we either pay the asking price or lose the player it seems.

Napoli are the masters of negotiation and deception and we look like beginners next to them. However, I can't help thinking they've just made a powerful enemy and, in the long run, was that such a great idea?

Txiki won't be hurrying back to do any dealings with them in the short term no doubt.

Being masters of duplicity is not the sane as being masters of negotiations.

lol....think your right mate. Problem is, people go way over the top, seemingly making it their personal goal in life to call people out at the very thought that someone might be finding fault or questioning anything the club does. ..Think we all meant to walk around these threads like bloody lemmings....anyway, I'm off to find a picture of Jorginho holding up a Chelsea shirt!;)

That's true but if you are good at the first the second tends to follow. I think our owners have long memories though.
Real Madrid came a cropper by trying to re-jig FFP against us as they lost the financing for upgrading the Bernard Bowl. Forcing them into the same boat as ourselves. Needless to say the proposed changes were watered down as a result.
