Democrats have to keep the incendiary rhetoric under control, especially until there's a useful candidate to take up the mantle against him, which (IMO) there isn't yet. It is all about turnout which is why the traitorous republicans are working overtime trying to suppress it. Once the Russian bots start in with their "They're all corrupt" and "Voting doesn't change anything" messages the same morons who sat or voted 3rd party in 2016 will do it again.

Trump haters are constantly shitting their pants at everything he says, they seem to like over reacting.

Not really mate.
When he's invited into our country and proceeds to slag us off and diss us I'm justifiably angry, that's not 'overreacting' ( I accept that you on the other hand don't mind your country being dissed).
However when he's abroad, criticising his own country in front of the world's media whilst cosying up to Putin then I'm not 'overreacting', I'm laughing at him whilst at the same time feeling sorry for a once great country.
