True!He did graft but uselessly, and he kept C Allen out of the side and he could play/score.

Strangely his best game for us (without taking the piss) was his last, I remember thinking he'd actually got it together.....never to play again.agreed, Charvet is the only player to run Bravo close.
Always remember a clip of him, it will be online somwhere, probably in some Kinkladaze highlights reel. That usless twat Alan Ball signed a winger called phillips who was the worst ever
Well the first half of that season in the third flight was arguably the lowest point of the club's entire history and he was mainly in the team at that point and if I remember correctly got dropped before the upturn in form and didn't ever regain his place. An average player who was indeed average.
Not crap though.
My mistake.Well the first half of that season in the third flight was arguably the lowest point of the club's entire history and he was mainly in the team at that point and if I remember correctly got dropped before the upturn in form and didn't ever regain his place.
Do you know what, Megson made me more angry though. Mason was just shit and there was nothing he could do about it but there was something about Megson that infuriated me even though he wasn't quite as terrible as most of us thought. :) Which player made you the angriest would be a good thread. My mistake.
Read it as Gary Megson.
Mason WAS shite!
Puzzled as to why so many people pick Premier League/First Division players from the last 40 years
What about the likes of Gary Mason and Jim Whitley who weren't even good enough for the 3rd tier?
C'mon mate, Gareth Taylor started the fightback that promotion season!!
That winning late header in the rain, think it was Stoke at home over Christmas.
Taylor is also the guy who jumps highest to flick on Wiekens' punt that sets up the Dickov goal at Wembley.
Controversal but i used to have this argument a lot with mates, they'd see his last ditch blocks etc and think he was great without realising that he'd given it away in the first place, or was in the wrong position. No doubt whatsoever about his heart and determination but this thread isn't about a lack of those.
He couldn't shoot from outside of 20 yards, couldn't kick it that far!!
Thanks, fucking thanks for that.
