Trailer Time...

If the movie is ten times better than the band then it'll be shit!

All about opinions, man!

By the way, Joaquin's turn as 'The Joker' has a release date of Oct 4th(?) 2019 and called...

"Joker".

So, for that release, there are two possibilities:

1) This is being filmed already as post production takes a year, not withstanding re-shoots

and

2) This may be classed as a 'small budget' film $55 mil, I think, so has everything sped up to get to the release date.

I don't think Leto is getting his film!

You have to wonder how Leto feels about this movie. It will be espicaly interesting if Phoenix earns plaudits for his performance. How would Leto feel then?

Mm, it's a good question!

I'm not sure how this is going to play out story-wise. this could be the end of Leto, but then how would it tie into the DCU? Does it tie into 'Flashpoint' rendering Leto obsolete?

I think it's going to be complicated, but I would be surprised if this is a pure stand alone film without connecting possibilities.

I’m a sucker for a deep ocean monster movie, so “The Meg” has captured my interest.

Reminds me of the TV show Greg the Bunny.

The dceu is a right mess right now.

How would you fix it?
Kill Superman off permanently, then use the origin movies to give a bit of depth and well, character, to the characters. MCU got everyone to like and understand the various characters before Avengers 1. They were then able to get stuck into the actual movie rather than telling us all about who they were. Also, humour isn't banned, Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy had plenty of unforced good dark humour.
