Was just thinking the same. Good with the ball in his feet, wins headers, can tackle and is a great passer. I think he would also do very well in a 3atb formation as the right CB, with Stones in the middle and Laporte on the left

Clearly one to watch. We seem to have a crop of promising CB's. Be nice if Vinnie and Ota could be replaced from within.

I've been thinking for the last years that Denayer had no chance of making it here, but I was very impressed with him against Dortmund. On the other side, none of the CBs had to defend a lot, and we should see how they do against the dippers and Bayern

Dealt with Salah running at him 1v1 towards the end of the game, looked very impressive for such a young guy, ordering the defence (all be it young) hope he gets another 90 and maybe plays himself into the Cup against Chelsea ahead of Tosin etc.

Insane player. Looks like a Spanish Scirea/Baresi in the making (small ball-playing CBs are quite rare at top level, so I'm struggling to remember another one with such skillset. Mascherano under Pep? Garcia will be better IMO). Let's hope he'll get his strength and aerial ability to that heights.

Comparing him to Tosin is absurd indeed.

De Ligt is miles ahead of this kid at the moment, but he's also 2 years older and has 80+ professional games, has captained Ajax, played international football etc.

The season De Ligt was 17 was his break out year, and Garcia's 17 until January, so maybe he'll develop similarly quickly, but probably not as he won't get the consistent game time.

Top top talent and very mature for his age..Our best performer in both games.
Was ordering and organising the likes of Denayer and the entire back 4 in general.Hope he starts with Laporte vs Bayern and at least make the squad vs Chelsea.
Should be ahead of Tosin as the 5th choice CB in the squad and replace VK next year.
