Spain's tough group is Italy, Portugal and host Armenia.
Garcia might not be gone long but Spain has won 4 outta the last 6 of these.

...but seriously, this sucks. I would've much preferred him get a full preseason with Pep. He would've played a decent amount I'm sure.

Of course, there will be improvements but that doesn't make him unsuitable. He has many, many skills in his locker and a couple of improveables; so have most, if not all, players.
So there is nothing wrong with discussing it then ?
I think it is often about tone as much as content. He appears to be an exceptional young player who will need game time, coaching and encouragement to become a great player. Your inference is that he should not play.So there is nothing wrong with discussing it then ?

He absolutely should not play cb in City's first team imo apart from in the 'easier' games or maybe in a back 3.
Unless he has improved about 30% on aerial duels since last season.
Then hopefully he makes up that difference & can do the job.
If Utd were to sign Harry Maguire for example & we had Garcia & Stones at cb, which of Pogba Maguire Smalling Lukaku.would you like to see Garcia marking ?
I'm being realistic about a very promising young player rather than just going "ooh he's great" which I'm sure would go down much better judging by replies so far.

I'd happily put him on Lukaku, the man can't compete for an aerial ball to save his life. If you look at any headed goal Lukaku has scored, there's a 99% chance it was an uncontested/free header. At set pieces he's useless, probably the best example of height and heading ability not being correlated.

Watched the first 70 mins of EG's game vs Armenia. Goal allowed was keeper's fault, dropped a cross off a set piece. Garcia got the armband in the 2nd half after capt subbed off. Dude abides - same old same old Garcia. Solid as hek chasing down the rare counter and pinging 35-yard diagonals around like darts. Portugal is next opponent. Felix cometh.
