He looks class. So young. I like him, very much.
Well done Garcia.
If this is what he is like now imagine in 2 years

I have seen enough to be convinced he has every chance of making it at City and will get a a long term contract.

Not at all worried about his height for a CB. Reads the game well, always looking for the forward pass to get the ball up the pitch rather than taking the safe option of sideways passing. He won more in the air than Sandler tonight, but that is no surprise. Technically good and does not panic on the ball. He has really good awareness of where his teammates are, enabling him to make quick accurate passes and, helping the team to up the tempo rather than the slow tempo from the back that often happens.

Personally I dont think his height matters that much, there have been plenty of great "short arse" defenders, in fact some of the all time greats eg Puyol, Moore, Baresi.

Garcia is only marginally smaller than Ramos and the same height as Otamendi. What he lacks in height, from the matches i have seen him play; he more than makes up for it with his positional awareness.

What he does need is a bit of bulking up, get a few Hollands pies down him and he will be spot on.

Agree. Just turned 18, so could still grow a little more

He’s an excellent defender. Wonder if he could be developed into a DM while he’s young enough.

I'm so impressed with this guy. Every game I see of his he looks like the best, most assured, defender on the pitch and just oozes class, leadership, and technical ability. He's a top drawer, Foden level, talent in my opinion. The only things he's missing are physical: he could grow an inch or two and he might be missing just a yard of pace, but he's so close. If we can't find him a team in Spain to play every week in next year we should seriously consider moving on either Otamendi or Vinny for this lad to get a solid role in the team.

I think he and Sandler may well be the future Laporte and Stones back up. Two footballing centre halves and high quality players.
