That's assuming Mahrez and Foden are injured, if they are back take Douglas and Brahim out. Gomes could start ahead of Douglas.

That's also assuming, nobody else who shows up from the World Cup this week is ready. I know Stones said he'd be back this week but we'll see.

Edit: Lineup will be much stronger now.

Pep said most of the 1st team report back this week.

I would expect him to bring in some, but think bravo will start along with diaz, laporte, bernado, zinchenko, sane, mendy and possibly bolton, nmencha and luiz.

Will be a stronger team than the IS tpur as this is basocally those returning match fitness game before proper football starts back
 
I think it'll be a fairly under strength team.
 
If B Silva played yesterday and had that much impact, I would expect Aguero, Otamendi, D Silva to all play next week as they went out at the same stage.

The rest can come on.

B.Silva played against the dippers as well been back nearly 2 weeks.

Some of them will defo play tho as it's a game towards match fitness.
 
Given everyone barr the english (maybe john) and vinny and kev will be back,expect a decent line up,how many subs are we allowed?

Anyone think Eric Garcia deserves some game time in this glorified friendly? He has been superb on tour, I think he's played better than Laporte.

Mbappe was playing senior football at his age. If you're good enough you're old enough. I trust Pep to make the appropriate call but would be pleased to see him rewarded.
 
Hard to call the team on this. Hope Mahrez is precautionary. Most first teamers need game time. Certainly like Bolton,Garcia, Diaz and of fit Foden to get some time. Sane, Bernardo, Laporte should start.

Can make up to 6 substitutions.
 
after the bayern game it doesnt concern me which XI we start with , would like five or six first teamers and a sprinkling of our academy players , they would definitely give the Chavs a game , i know the Shield is now an important title since the Rags won it , but maybe Pep has his eyes on the bigger picture.
 
With so many players at the World Cup, this will be treated like a training match by Pep, so I expect he will use the game to get time in their legs, utilizing all 6 dubs.

With a week under your belt, you can easily play 30-45 mins. With two weeks and 30-45 of game time, you can easily do 60, some 90.

The sports vests they wear, even in pre season games, will be a decisive factor, because at this stage of the season sports science is critical. We will soon find out who rested, recuperated and prepared properly and who didn’t! Pep just reiterated...you want to play, you have to run!

If we win on sunday it'll once again be regarded as a friendly and no longer part of the 'magnificent treble' that the rags spouted about not so long ago
