Spurs’ new stadium

I've not misinformed anybody that they'll get their money back - I've just said that if the fixture date changes then morally it would only be fair for City fans to have their travel costs refunded and from what Blue Anorak says, it seems the club agree.

As for the Moscow debacle, well that one was more on UEFA than anybody else and they should've reimbursed the flight costs for every fan out of the money they fined CSKA Moscow. The fact that they didn't is the sole reason why I boo the CL anthem and will continue to do so

No one has argued the point that morally people should get their money back. Not one person. Everyone agrees about that. Everyone also agreed that UEFA should have refunded people's travel for the CL game too.

Anyway, I'm done on this.

I don’t know where he apparently said that as the NFL match is on Sunday

Wow, it was in yesterdays press conferences, he said it would be bad for Spuds to play at 3 venues and therefore rules out Cardiff etc and said it should be Wembley despite the poor state the pitch would be in.

It should be on Spurs to replace the Wembley pitch, as they did for Rochdale to try and avoid injuries to their own players.

With the delays mooted, it seems unfeasible that they could have thought their stadium would be ready to host the game at the time scheduled.

The problem is the match is set to be on the same date as the NFL match. It seems they wont allow us to play it on the day before either as they have hired the entire venue out to the NFL who have all their 'stuff' there and it will take days to move it in and out. The NFL are not prepared to do that, further the pitch has to be marked out and all football lines removed. It simply cannot be played at Wembley. I think Spurs are still hoping their new ground will be ready. It really is an almighty fuck up and it will no doubt be postponed which will cause us problems with regards to the re-arranged date.

Levy meeting Scudamore in the next couple of days to try and resolve the issue. The issue seems to be the earliest that rescheduled test events can take place. The local authority state that it's at least a 6 week time-period to schedule them.

No - but you and your sidekick went off on one about how taking it to court would inevitably fail when no-one mentioned anything about taking it to court. Oh,not to mention comments like “shit happens” before you made an about turn and agreed with MES when before that you seemed in complete disagreement that there was a moral issue at stake here.

Spurs just need to hire out the London Stadium. It's a fairly simple and obvious solution to all this nonsense.

Couldn't they schedule the City match to be a test event with 3,000 of us and the rest made up of Spurs season ticket holders up to the requisite number?

Read this on another website from a Spurs fan who is, like a lot of us, an FOC.

check out the new ground, and whilst it looks an absolute beast of a stadium, it does not have a cat in hells chance of being finished this side of Xmas, if the truth be told. May not in my humble opinion be finished this side of Easter.

There is still so much work to be completed, especially on the Worcester Avenue/Park Lane corner of the ground. Park Lane itself looks like a building side, with half finished stairways, and building material everywhere. I was chatting to a couple of drivers down there delivering electrical gear, and they have been told to keep delivering for the next three months minimum.

It was always an ambitious project to get this stadium delivered as per the schedule, and I hope I have not upset too many supporters with the news of the update straight from the horses mouth, so to say, but I have to say I think Spurs will be playing I reckon most of their games this season at Wembley.

Anyway onwards and upwards as they say, the stadium when complete will be magnificent, and be in operation for a 100 years or so, not that I will be around. Although on reflection in a 100 years time I doubt any of us will.

I did show my commitment to the club though, I popped in the Spurs shop on the High Road, and purchased a Spurs Pen for £3. Every little helps, so to say.

PS Just to let you know Tottenham High Road has not changed, a geezer was having a squirt in full view of everybody on the High Road, then he had the cheek to ask me if I could give him 20p."

Seems to be at odds to @JimB's optimistic assessment of the situation. Apart from the header, the comments in bold highlight his concerns.

So it's safe for a friendly but not a competitive match, don't really see much difference to be honest...

First of all, do go ahead and find the bit where I said "shit happens" , given I never used that phrase you supposedly quoted. Go on. Try. You won't find it because I never said it, so don't try made up quotes on here, I have nothing but contempt for that kind of crap.

Next, I've been entirely consistent throughout on my points, and I stand by them.

By all means disagree with me. I haven't the slightest issue with that. But don't bullshit, and don't lie.

Still trying to rip off their own fans even with this debacle going on!
