It is an issue if they can't get the numbers of police needed to police 2 games over a weekend.

It's only 3 years since we played on the same night, we stuffed Palace 5-1 at the Etihad in the League Cup and the rags were knocked out at the swamp, losing to Boro on pens.

Switch the Spuds and Palace games round, is the obvious answer. We would then play Spuds at home on the 28th October, Palace away on the 22nd December, Spuds away on the 20th April, Palace at home on the 13th April.

That may be obvious to you but it's unlikely to be obvious to Palace who are not involved in this at all.

Around 90k in total, but I suspect that for any first-team game GMP have a set number of officers on duty regardless of the anticipated attendance and that this number is raised for the higher profile matches such as a derby or a visit from the dippers.
