Was a comedian for a different time and generation, was funny enough late 70s early 80s, but is very much of that light entertainment era.

Tiswas great, his early shows were funny, and his straight roles in the 90s were alright.

Don't find him that amusing, but still has been a ever present figure on british telly for 40 years and so a tribute by the beeb is understandable

I knew I hadnt dreamt it and youtube proved me right. I was sure I remembered Lenny Henry in a straight film from 30 odd years ago. I remembered him singing in it and I can remember it was a good tv film. Found it now
