Lenny Henry

Those choosing to call him inoffensive never got suckered into trying a condensed milk sandwich in the early 80s.

Was a comedian for a different time and generation, was funny enough late 70s early 80s, but is very much of that light entertainment era.

Tiswas great, his early shows were funny, and his straight roles in the 90s were alright.

Don't find him that amusing, but still has been a ever present figure on british telly for 40 years and so a tribute by the beeb is understandable

I’ll match your Lenny Henry and lower the bar even further with. Harry f###ing Hill,

Now he is utter dog Shite and if shit comedians were celebrated he would win gold every time
If laughter is the best medicine, then the painfully unfunny **** that is Harry hill should still be a doctor, not a comedian!

As for Lenny Hill, used to be half decent back in the day, but nowadays I think I'd rather have gout than watch him on TV.

He is a national treasure, and a cultural icon. The word legend is overused these days, but in this case it is absolutely applicable, perhaps even more so.*
