You’re being too literal with that now. Clinging to it even. He used it as a friendly, diplomatic way of questioning the boys attitude.
Just as a matter of interest, have you actually even read the comments Kroos made ?
Kroos said: “Sometimes you have the feeling with his body language that it is all the same whether we win or lose. He has to improve his body language.
Note the word 'feeling'.
“Also sometimes you have to tell him he has to perform better and improve a bit. You have to find a way to push him to a better performance level.
So he then added on, the bit about performance on the pitch.
Also, you keep saying it's nothing to do with the club, when he said this: “What is crystal clear is we need a player with the quality he has. We don’t have another player like him. He played a fantastic season with City last year but sometimes it seems Pep Guardiola has the same problem at the moment and that’s why he put him out of the squad so he can be motivated to perform better.
Here's typically, how it was reported (Kroos of course, never having dealt with the press in all his years of playing for the German national team, Bayern Munich & Real Madrid, would have no idea whatsoever, that his comments would be reported in this way, he was just trying to help)

It's fairly unusual for team-mates to get involved but I think this situation reflects a real concern inside the dressing room. It may also reflect a sense that keeping this in house and saying this to him behind closed doors has not had the desired effect yet.
I think there is a concern in the dressing room that he's not really behaving as professionally as his status - which is still quite low within the national set-up - would demand.
