I'd go:

Ederson, Walker, Stones, Laporte, Mendy, Fernandinho, Bernardo, Silva, Mahrez, Aguero, Sane
Bench: Muric, Otamendi, Kompany, Delph, Gundogan, Sterling, Jesus

No need to rush Danilo back as he just resumed training, and even though Pep said Sterling is fine I'd like to see Sane get a start and allow Raheem to make a sub appearance.

City 3-1 Fulham

Still can't escape 'typical City' despite recent seasons. No idea why. Just keep thinking this is the sort of game against a 'plucky underdog and London media favourite' club where we'll dominate, miss a hatful of chances and draw 1-1 or 2-2, with their only attacks of the game resulting in goals.

Hopefully I'm totally wrong and we'll smack them like we should do.

Nah, it's me as well. Don't think we look quite right yet. Looks to me like Pep is trying a few different things, possibly to accommodate Mendy and Mahrez and think we are lacking the extreme pace and width that was so destructive last season. If we play Sterling on the right and Sane on the left I am confident we will hammer them, if not then anything could happen. We might still hammer them but we could play like we did against Newcastle in which case I could see us not winning.

And do you " sense " Mitrovic scoring two like the other clairvoyant.

We are only a couple of matches in to the season. Short memories seem to forget the beginning of last season. The Centurions season, remember?

Look at +5 goals on the betting spreads...

As stated, we’ll be far to mobile and quick for them, it could get ugly if we go for the jugular

Going 7-1
I didn't realise we were at home thought it was an away game so now I do I'm with you we should batter them.

No idea why you have taken any issue with what I have said there at all. It's not about short memories, quite the opposite. It's exactly because I remember how brilliant we were last season that I can look at how we have been in the last couple of matches and say that we aren't quite right at the moment. No need for the sarky clairvoyant comment either. I am guessing there are literally dozens of people in here making predictions about the match, in fact isn't that pretty much the point of the thread?

We stuttered a bit first four games last season, similar to this.

I agree with most of the team selections but I think Gabriel will start tomorrow, he's always busy pestering the opposition defence, and I think that may lead to goals.

Should be hammering these tomorrow. They're an expansive side who will play right into our hands.

Mahrez and Sane to both start. Think Jesus will be back on the bench.

Am convinced sterling will start and would love to see sane get back in too. Don’t think mahrez will play tomorrow. Maybe midweek.

I think mahrez shoukd be used from the bench for a while like Bernardo was early last season. Sterling is on fire and sane needs a game.

Ota/Kompany in for Stones to combat the power of Mitrovic
Stones & Laporte every time for me.

3 players vying for 1 spot with Laporte in because he is class & left footed.

No need to worry about Mitrovic he ain't good enough to cause us to much pain.

I'd like to see Delph play tomorrow but can't see Pep playing a back 4.

Drop Jesus to the bench 100% & play Sterling & Aguero up top. Could be a good time to introduce Phil ;)

Sane & Bernardo out wide with Gundagun, Dave & Phil.

Rest Jesus, Walker & Mahrez.& both Dino & Mendy to miss out.

.Ederson.
.Stones. . Vinny. .Laporte.
.Gundagun.
.Bernardo. .Silva. .Foden. .Sane.
Sterling. .Aguero.

Subs. Muric, Otamendi, Walker, Mahrez, Delph, Jesus & Diaz.
