It doesn’t undervalue him as a player, it merely notes that in the system we play he is supposed to be getting the chances he gets and putting them away. The problem is his lack of finishing ability for the number of chances he is given. Again, on Saturday, he missed three gilt edged chances, albeit unluckily, but when does “bad luck” become “poor finishing?”There's no sycophants, just those that can recognise that his ability to score as many tap ins as he does is a skill/quality in itself and it shouldn't in any way be used to undervalue him as a player.
And, I’m not picking on him. Bernardo missed a sitter, too, but that was highlighted by both the media and Pep.
