Silva-Silva
Sterling-Aguero-Sane
Bench: Muric, Danilo, Kompany, Jesus, Gundogan, Mahrez, Nico

Sterling is one of our best performers and we need him. The only way he can get over the Liverpool hurdle is by playing. We need Stones and Laporte to add to our buildup and dominate/recycle possession. I don't know if delph/mendy are fit so Zin by default after Laporte's performance as a LB. I have faith. He's good with the ball and looks fitter and more confident this year.
I'm not confident with how Dinho will perform tbh. Teams that press and press well usually target him whether vs Liverpool or in Europe and he's prone to giving the ball away. Hopefully he has a big game.
We need our two magicians setting everything up, retaining the ball, playing with composure.

I don't see anyway we get anything from this game no matter how much I analyze it. Our high line defending is tailor made for their press and pace. Our ageing DM is going to get harassed to death and is getting caught in possession and giving the ball away this season even when not under pressure. If he plays Laporte at left back we are definitely doomed.

We have the players who could hurt them at the other end but the problem is Sterling shits himself every time he plays there and whoever he replaces him with isn't as effective.

A change of tactics is needed but we all know Pep won't do that. Add that rag ref Atkinson into the equation and I am dreading Sunday.

I will get hammered for this post but that is the way I see it. I pray I am wrong and would be ecstatic with a draw right now.

I don't see why you would get hammered, the evidence backs up all your points. Its how I see things too.KDB's absence will be fully felt for the first time.

To stand any chance we have to be on our ‘a’ game. Prior to last night i was confident we could overturn our curse at their ground, but there were alot of sloppy passes last night when not under pressure.

Make those kind of mistakes and liverpool will pounce on them and it could make it a day to forget. Hopefully even though we got the win last night which was deserved after our overall performance, Pep will be drilling them about not making mistakes. If being pressed for example like last night, laporte decided to knock back to the keeper and played their frontman in on goal, he just needs to knock it out and play it safe.

People always hammer any opinions that aren’t happy clappy, but you’re allowed to say what you think. We’re not in the best shape for this match, bearing in mind how the opposition play and how we are currently playing, I think most can see that. I think we’ll draw though after going behind in the first half.

I think we’ll draw, Chelsea win, then all 3 teams will be on 20 points.

Fuck me. Reading the vote and some of these posts....
We are Manchester fucking city ffs, runaway champions with the best players in world football. These twats haven’t won the league in 3 decades. Refs? Anfield? Tactics? Fuck those excuses. Come on City!!!!!!
?? That doesn’t mean everyone has to think we’ll win every game we play. Runaway Champions last season, yes. We also lost 3 times to this weekends opponents. It’s like you are confusing not thinking we’ll win with not wanting us to win. Nobody is a bigger blue by saying we’ll smash them.

Fuck that bigger blue bollocks, that’s for others on here.
Positivity my friend. Positivity. The camera will pan onto the hierarchy of Hansen and Rush who will be looking on with disapproval as we smash the third in.

Unfortunately I can only see 1 outcome and it's a dippers win, 1 win there in the last 15 years doesn't bode well, and even peps comments on the prime documentary saying Liverpool are so powerful doesn't help, I don't know what our hang up is at there place, yet we slag the scum but even they can go there and beat the twa*s
It’s one win in 37 years!

I always feel that Anfield and Stamford Bridge are our toughest away games of the year. We have such a good record at The Swamp these days that it barely registers but Anfield and Stamford Bridge still feel like fortresses and given the way this year is unfolding those are both going to be key games.
Winning at old trafford barely registers??!!

Time for some long overdue pragmatism at that fucking dump. Wind the ****s up early doors, slow it down, waste time, don’t try daft passes while they’re hounding us at the start full of energy, exaggerate fouls, roll around on the floor, frustrate them and pounce after we’ve weathered the storm
We are not managed by Mourniho !

Danilo - - - Ferny - - - Zinchenko

Aguerooooooooooooooooooooooo

Tweak tactics - utilises walkers pace at back, similar to how Southgate set up Eng at WC.

Berny and David drop into middle when not in possession.

Sterling’s pace 2nd half to open them up.

Have to try something different for this one Pep.

I would be inclined to play a counter attacking game for this one, let them take the risk.
Ederson,
Walker
Stones
Laporte
Danilo
Zinchenko
Dino
B Silva
Sterling
Sane
Aguero
