Poor performance tonight. No man's land for the first goal, and the other mad dash was ridiculous. Still has a lot to learn.

Footwork: 100%
Distribution: 99%
“Head”work: 50%
Artwork: MINUS 50%

Overall goalkeeping for a young man: 85% and increasing.

Wouldn’t trade him for any other keeper in the world right now. He could be here for 15 years, if he plays his cards right!

Yeah, he misjudged the flight/bounce of the ball, but he was alert to the danger and it was the right decision to go for it. Not sure how he can be blamed for their goal either, I'd say the gaping hole at centre back to leave him 1 on 1 was more an issue.

Correct. Anyone blaming him for the goal has zero knowledge of goalkeeping.

Don't think anyone sane could have watched the game today and come out the other side saying Alisson is on Ederson's level distribution wise.

He's so cool I'm pretty sure there's electrical superconductivity occurring in his veins.

I came to this thread to say the same. Ederson's passing is on a different planet. Alisson is very good for a normal keeper, but he's not Ed/ter Stegen or even Neuer.

His passing might be great , not all that though doesn't even make the first page for saves :)

Which unfortunately will stop him getting the credit he deserves.

To be hones the only way i think he could really get some proper attention for his goalkeeping would be if we kept 10 consecutive clean sheets or something and he saved a couple of penalties, because the defence with the ball now is such that he faces 1 or 2 shots a game and they're rarely opportunities to extend the highlights reel.

To see the difference between Ederson and Alisson, look up the highlights clip of Ederson's only international appearance. You can see it wasn't always a comfortable experience all round. There wasn't the automatic team movement, they allowed a crowded penalty area and it was all too slow. That's why Alisson keeps his spot in the team. Eddy's a unique goalie and you can't compare Neuer to him and possibly not even ter Stegen. The imagination of his distribution, which comes from his vision and concentration, and obviously team practice, makes him a prototype. He regularly makes what are really key passes.

Means our defence is doing its job well then. We all know his awareness to danger and distribution skills are brilliant. We don't really know how good he is at shot shot stopping at the moment as he's not really had to make too many saves. Our defence is a lot more assured with Eddie in goal, and most of us are too fortunately, now Bravo is not number 1 keeper. That said Bravo looks a different keeper nowadays to his first season.

Alison can suck Eds balls.
Edersons distibution is 50% better than Alisons.

In the modern distribution accounts for game it accounts for 40% of a keepers value. Critically so for teams at the very top level.

The Checs and hart type keepers days are numbered.

Thus Alison maybe 5% better in other departments ( this is being generous )
This leaves Eddy atleast 20% better player than Alison.
