TV Series

Just finished it. Fantastic, the lack of cooperation between the CIA and FBI is shocking and apparently true!
Yep, it looks like fiction but the reality of story is a little frightening and fairly accurate especially Jeff Daniels character.

Heads up for This Country (BBC3) fans. IMO the best comedy out at the moment.

One-off catch up with Kurtan and Kerry this Wednesday on i-Player.

The Good Cop.

Much better than expected.Bit of an old school vibe with very clever/quirky scripting.

A bit reminiscent of Moonlighting.

I’m rewatching Breaking Bad on Netflix.

Jesse seemed to be a lot more likeable upon first viewing.

I find Gus Fring’s character to be the most interesting. Although he may have been responsible for the death of the young drug dealer, he didn’t strike me as being all bad. He gave Walter and Jesse numerous ‘second chances’ and his actions towards Don Eladio and Hector were understandable.

If anything, Walter/Heisenberg is the primary protagonist and antagonist in the series.

Just finished the latest series of Better Call Saul. Really good ending to another quality season. Still my favourite programme of anything out there at present.

Did the same recently, however the whole Jesse thing (today) is formulated by ones understanding of the ending...

Walter was always the driving force, regardless of intentions at the start.

Gus??? I'm expecting a big reveal in Better call Saul anytime now, there's a distinct smell of lavender about him and it doesn't come from the marinated chicken!!!!

I tried to watch Bodyguard but only got 15 minutes in before I mentally collapsed under the weight of mundane expectation turned into gleefully woken boredom.

Really? I expected it to be average BBC bollocks and so avoided the initial fuss about it but I watched the first 2 episodes last night and am really enjoying it.

Was it just the first 15 minutes of it that was a bit on the cliched side?

I watched Killing Eve instead though which was brilliant in a different way mate.

Well, after letting series 2 of 'Luke Cage' settle in my thoughts, I must say I actually enjoyed 90% of it.

Nothing's ever going to be perfect and if series 1 had been written in the same manner, we could have had a classic series akin to 'Daredevil' on our hands.

I don't mean in the same mode, just in it's own way.

It's great that the writers let 'Cage' question more of his morality.

It's a good angle that already sets it apart the rest of the others.

Fairly decent.

Well anyone who enjoyed iron fist it’s been cancelled after 2 seasons.

Well, that puts paid to 'The Defenders', then. The other stand alone series have improved.

I suppose, there's a distant possibility of a revival and re-imagining of 'Iron Fist' making 'Danny Rand' half Asian, at least.

They should have done that from the off, or have a much more charismatic actor do something with a character that's fairly dull.

Fight scenes should have been sooo much better and Netflix/ Marvel lost control of this one, big time!

Second series was much better tbf, all that was needed was a better story, which season 2 had and finished strongly, much better than Luke cage and Jessica Jones did imho.

What they should have done was use Luke Cage and Iron fist season 2 into a heroes for hire storyline and as they have said the charactor will be seen again I can see Luke Cage S3 possibly becoming.

Also the scope for a Daughter of the Dragon spin off happening with Rand appearing as a cameo would be popular
