United sponsors Aeroflot and Emirates NBD are majority state owned (in the case of ENDB it's Dubai, not UAE, government owned). Saudi Telecom Co is 70% owned by the Saudi sovereign wealth fund. Another 13.69% is owned by Saudi government social security organisations. So if City are being beaten with a stick for the Abu Dhabi connection so should the rags for taking millions from these organisations.
Any rag who bleats on about City receiving 'oil money' should have Gulf Oil (official global lubricant partner ffs), Commercial Bank of Qatar, Emirates NBD and Saudi Telecom Co thrown back at them.
Gulf Oil.. is originally American, hence why I didn't include it in my list of 'interesting' sponsors... it appears to be owned by an Indian holding parent company now, though it's headquarters for the 'Gulf Oil' bit are still in the US.Thought that was the Glazers
What do they think Magnier and McManus’ “99 Questions” were about?Despite the facts there are so many rags who still insist that all our revenue comes from UAE companies owned by relatives of Sheikh Mansour which, by their extended logic (or lack thereof), makes City permanently in breach of FFP. They also insist City cook the books because there's no way our revenue legitimately exceeds £500m. When I tell them that as a privately owned company City aren't even obliged to make the accounts public and if the club wanted to hide anything they simply wouldn't publish the accounts at all they look confused. When I compare City's transparency to United's lack of transparency with secret accounts in Delaware and the Cayman Islands they struggle for a comeback beyond rinsing and repeating oil money, etc.
It looks like fatty Shaw is on the brink of signing a new contract at the swamp:

Will it include a daily Big Mac Meal?
That spy camera may have vital evidence re the bomb left behind by someone..which caused the famous man utd to call off their last home game of the season.....if in fact there was a bomb.oops! At least the Saudi's might unintall the spy cameras in the ladies and the cable to Martin Edwards house.
Yep.and donalds trumps first trip abroad as president was to sign off an arms deal with saudi...so they could bomb the poor people of Yemen.he took time out from this most important task...to make a speech ,in sympathy ,to the victims of the Manchester bombing, joining miss may in shouting down the 'terrorists "...ho hum. Both the UAE and the UK are currently and directly involved in bombing the shit out of poor people in Yemen. Brings a lump to the throat.
That didn't take a lot of persuading - have you been part of our Brexit negotiation? ;-)Ok,i'll modify my comment to 'on a par'
I'm unwilling to compromise further!!

Gulf Oil Middle East is a UAE company based in Dubai. It is a subsidiary of Gulf Oil International owned by the Indian Hinduja Group. Neither company are anything to do with the original US company of the same name that was taken over by BP and Chevron. Hinduja have a licensing agreement with Chevron to use the Gulf brand.I think I am correct in saying that Gulf Oil have something like eight affiliate companies one of which is Gulf Oil Oil Middle East ltd.
