Raheem still has until June 2020 before his contract runs out. So their is still plenty of time to come to a deal. If by June of next year no deal can be reached, then I would sell him in the August transfer window. Better to get some money for him the to get nothing at all.

I hope the club have indicated a timeline by which agreement needs to be met

Great performance last night. He's one of the best at beating a man in Europe but still not sure he'll ever become a ruthless finisher to be the very best. That being said I hope he spends the next few years at City as him and Sane will continue to terrify defences. If he goes there will always be a replacement.

I'm certain that those running the club wouldn't allow that to happen. Just can't imagine someone like Khaldoon letting those dirty bastards down the road get one of our best players on a free. If we really can't agree a deal he'll go to Spain. Hopefully though we'll sort something out and pay him what he's worth.

Well unlike you (master of the snide comment) Im not out to catch anybody, just giving a genuine opinion.
I can simplify it though, I hope the powers that be at Madrid dont decide they want Raz after his performance in Spain.

Hopefully if that is his desire he gives us a few more years, he could still win more trophies here and then move and have a good career abroad.

Just a gut feeling I could be wrong. He is a strong willed single minded character. If this is his aim hopefully the club will do a gentleman's agreement if he gives us four or five more years and signs a new contract so we get a fee we won't stand in his way.

Think he walks into both sides at the moment.

He's better than Dembele, Malcom and Suarez (arguable but think there'll be a large decline with him this year), so he'd get a spot in Barca's front 3.

He's better than Mariano, Benzema, Vazquez, Asensio and Bale can't stay fit, so he'd get a spot in Real's front 3.


Anyway we'd be mad to not get him that new contract asap. Him and Sane should be our wingers for years to come.

I agree that we should try to sign him up, but the notion that he walks into either side...and stays there for a 3, 4 or 5 year contract is laughable today.
