Not all of it. Down around Kerry, around Connemara, along the West Coast generally and parts of the North Coast around Antrim, parts of Wicklow; the "tourist-y places, they're generally not too bad. Most of the small towns though; its like Chernobyl after, not before. And a lot of Dublin is pretty grim. And.... it's full of Jackeens!I reckon most inland Irish towns are pretty crap if we're being honest, architecturally ugly with a sense of lifelessness in them. Apart from Kilkenny, Cashel, Glasson and Adare off the top of my head.
You can't actually name that many picturesque places in Ireland in fairness, most of it is dreary and dull. A consequence of being so poor for centuries.
