There is. Ultra right believe in nationalistic, ultra free market economics, and almost always racist ideas. Ultra left want everything to be subservient to the state. There's a huge difference. Unfortunately bit sized tweets and shitty memes on social media have completely confused this issue. Both 'ultras' do my tits in mind, but I wish people would wise up. Yes, it absolutely does. Because the end result of the application of either extreme doctrine tends to amount to the same result. Both believe powerfully in the overwhelming importance of the state, both believe in removing liberty to achieve their aims, both are extraordinarily intolerent of dissent, both focus on the importance of work for the greater good, not the individual, both forcefully use propaganda to reach their goals. They can point at each other about how different they are as much as they like, but when the outcome for everyone else is the same, I'll keep pointing out that.

True. It’s a minimal amount, but you only have to look UKIP and EDL to see how populaist right wing movements can grow, not saying these FLD idiots can muster support to these levels but I’d rather not turn a blind eye to racism and prejudice groups roaming the streets. How ever small the numbers.

Extreme right wing groups have always had a problem selling their ideology, how do you fancy becoming a Nazi and persecuting people we don't like? Is a hard sell, so instead they exploit certain fears and anxieties, like immigration, jobs, terrorism, being swamped blah, blah, blah and look for groups where there might be traction and they either latch on to them or try to be seen to represent them.
Extreme left wing groups, like the Socialist Workers Party do the same, they latch on to every popular leftish movement they can and, as in the case of the fight against fascism, they attempt to make it their own, using it as a vehicle to push their Trotskyist ideology....

UKIP is like a lot of right wing groups, they define themselves by what they're against, as opposed to what they want and what they are.
Momentum are pretty strong on what they want and what they are, it's just you don't like it.
