I know, I amended my post almost immediately on second reading.
Excellent! I call that 1-1! :-P
On the material bit - no bad thing at all the amount of effort expended. Just seems odd when you look back on it.
I know, I amended my post almost immediately on second reading.
Its the staggering hypocrisy of people denouncing right wing violence one minute and then promoting left wing violence the next.
Both are as bad as each other, fucking despised by the vast majority in this country and have no place whatsoever in football, especially our club.
as merely informing people that it is time to stand up to the racist far right nutjobs who inhabit the likes of the DFLA and the EDL
Not surprising when the level of debate is as low as you manage.
I was merely informing people that it is time to stand up to the racist far right nutjobs who inhabit the likes of the DFLA and the EDL. Manchester did it before in the 70s when the NF was removed from our streets thanks to likeminded groups from City and United.
No platforming and aggressive countering are tactics well established in the UK and can be seen in an historical context at the Battle of Cable Street where ANTIFA , its Union and Jewish allies faced down Oswald Moseley.
Its not promoting football violence, its standing up to the already violent. If you condone the the far right, here is truly abject and a lost cause. These people want our owners out of the country, they want our foreign players sent home. They stand for hatred and division. As ever they are the idiot fringe of the working class being used by middle class paymasters to further their own ends and line their pockets. Stand up to them and don't fall for their lies and hatred.
You really are as thick as people say. If you cant see the difference then I am staggered.
Without the right wing violence promulgated by the DFLA and EDL there would be no need to counter them. They exist and need to be opposed otherwise its just far right violence that wins the day and our club, and football overall becomes a breeding ground for racists and fascism. Do you just want to stand by and hope they go away? Because they wont unless they are opposed as we have seen throughout history.
Should we have let Moseley march through the East end of London, should we have allowed the NF free reign on the Kippax and just say its OK because there is no place for them. Do nothing and our club is at risk from the rise of the far right as every club is throughout the land. We don't have a problem as it stands but the problem is escalating and as a big club we will be seen as a breeding ground for their vitriol. Its the way they operate, they always have and always will.
All you need to do is take a peek at the Yaxley thread on here and you will see there is sympathy for his far right views. They are dressed up as populist measures but they are sinister and are working there way into our fanbase. If you don't see that as a problem then obviously im wasting my time here, but don't say you haven't been warned.
Anyone remember the....
Well....

I was involved in this back in the late 70s, I even organised one of these....
We did a good job, the NF were humiliated at the election in 79 and never recovered.
Thatcher won and the Tories were in power for 18 years.
Absolutely, lets leave all this shite to the banner waving Trots on the Kop and the wannabee revolutionaries at Pallet Park, i and i presume 99.9% of match going blues go to football to watch football and as a release from the trials and tribulations of everyday life including politics.
A.
And no need for the abuse, or is that you being, ' strong in opposition intellectually' or, 'standing together' ?
Amen to that.In that case maybe they will stop with all the minutes silence/clapping etc that seems to happen at every fucking match these days?
