Sterling’s contract - three year extension confirmed

To jump from 170 -300k is a lot. The 2 main revenue streams are sponsorship and ticket sales. I fear this will be passed on a few %% to the fans.

To get that 300k i reckon he will need to really kick on, even more than he already has. I know Txiki's general MO is "do the business and your bonuses will see you hit that number, it is all down to you" but he will have made sure the bonus targets will push Sterling.

Yeah, that will be Champions League winning wages

With duds like Alexis Sanchez and Ozil at 300k a week It would have been highway robbery for sterling to get less. New contracts are going to cost much more especially for the top performers.

Ticket sales are right at the very bottom of revenue.

About 10% if im correct. If TV, prize money or sponsorship stalls, a 10% increase on tickets wont go down well. Hopefully this Puma deal with migrate these contracts for the time being.

I've seen he is actually on 180k per week basic and the rest is made up from performance targets set by the club.
Is this bullshit or something the media don't want to hear?

Especially after the last home derby, I fancy Sterling to bag one or two next week.

One with a Southampton-esque finish preferably.

A 10% increase on tickets would only tick up the proportion to 11% of the whole - all else being equal. Not worth the outrage.

Ticket prices will not go up to pay Stetlings contract raise.
