Didn’t have his best game yesterday, but everything he does, every touch he has, is dripping with class. I yield to no-one in my admiration of El Mago, but Bernardo’s shooting and finishing could mean he is even a slight upgrade in David when the latter retires.

Incredible and so happy to have him at my club.

All for less of Carlton’s fee and probably a quarter of his wages.

He had one glorious move out wide with the ball glued to his feet then sweeping it across the pitch!

His close control has to be second only to Messi, it's ridiculous.

Our best player so far this season, always in the top 3 performers every week and Spurs was no exception. I don’t have the stats but I’d guess he probably covers as much ground as anyone else too.

An absolute joy to watch. There was an instance in the first half when David Silva got the ball in wide open space, but the Southampton players simply retreated because they realised he just doesn't have the pace now to run straight at them anymore. However, when Bernardo got the ball in a similar position in the second half, it was all hands on deck as they tried to close the space down, but he could burn them with his pace and movement.

Confirmation he can replace de Bruyne too. Phenomenal today. Big reason we aren’t missing a beat without kev.

He’s my favourite thing about this season so far.

I was worried about his through ball end of last season but today he showed me I had nothing to worry about.

2/3 times he played David Silva 2011 esq passes through their back line in behind.

So exciting.

I have been concentrating on watching Bernardo a bit closer in the last few games, and I am so impressed with his performances. He has just got better and better since arriving and this season has been excellent in most games .

I think he gets overlooked a bit due to the excellent performances of David Silva and KDB, but he is such a neat and hard working player who goes under the radar a little.

Being honest, I missed his contribution when at Monaco, probably because of Mbappe, Mendy and others etc, but clearly Pep didn't and I can see what a gem he is.

Another excellent performance yesterday . Fast becoming a favourite of mine.

Class player - a "Silva" (see what I did there? :-)) lining to KDB's injury is that Bernardo will get to play more often, and likely in a central role.

The triangle between Bernardo/Walker/Mahrez down the right is absolutely incredible. They just make so many openings and chances, and when the ball gets lost on that side of the pitch it's always won back between the 3 of them in a few seconds.

I don't know how we're going to bench Bernardo when KDB is fit.

He’s actually better than Spanish Dave in tight spaces. The ball is on a fuckin string. He gets out of situations he has no right to get out of.

He’s so young as well. A super talented footballer.
