Appears to get better with every game , it will be a sad day when Merlin hangs up his wand but Bernardo will ease the pain , some of bernardo's controls and touches are ridiculous , world class player.
that keepyuppy he did in the first half to set Raheem free haha, when kdb is fit he will slot in next to him perfectly letting david rest his weary bones.he looked brilliant v Monaco when we played them in the champs league and after a slow start looks even better for us.

I feel a bit bad for Monaco fans as they could have had one of the best club teams in the world if Bernado, Mendy, Mbappe etc. had stayed.

It is a bit of an odd club though I guess - in a rich area so are there many genuine fans?

He's the great combination of being a player who you could build your whole team around and he'd thrive, but he's also willing to completely sacrifice his own game and do a job for the team when he plays out on the wing. He must be a managers dream as he clearly does whatever is asked of him without complaint.

When you see him playing centrally, it does make you wonder why we keep letting Gundogan play when Kev/Dave need a rest. I've nothing against Gundogan, but Bernardo is just so much more influential in the center of the pitch than he is. Him and Kev could and should be our attacking midfield duo for the next 5 years, minimum.

What goes unnoticed with Bernardo is the sheer amount of running he does.

He won't replace David because they have completely different skill sets, but he's becoming a key figure in his own classy style.

He is not improving nor getting better, he just play exceptionally well when playing in the middle.

Masterclass that he spoiled with the shot over the bar. Had he added a goal to his game today, it would have been one of the best performances of the season already.
