Agree totally with MCX - she’s got form for having digs at City. Never seems to chip in with comments on any other teams. There’s no naivety where she’s concerned.
I'll watch more carefully in future. Personally I think it's the format of the programme forcing news anchors to make comments on something they have no interest or knowledge of, but if you have any other examples, I will gladly put her on the list.

According to 90 mins

2nd youngest squad in the Premiership
Manchester City - 25.6 years
Oldest Player: Claudio Bravo (35)

Youngest Player: Phil Foden (18)

What is frightening about Manchester City is that they are already the best team in the Premier League, yet are remarkably the second youngest and so could feasibly dominate for years.
Would be interesting to see what the age dropped to with muric instead of Bravo ?

Maybe if Raz had gone to the ref and said he wasn't touched, he feared the referee would have booked him for diving. As a club City have always been pro VAR and last night it would have been a perfect situation for it.

It again demonstrated what a waste of time Harry Potter is at the side of the goal who must have had a clear view. The ref certainly seemed to not want to punish a number of fouls on City players in the second half as a way of righting a wrong.

The obvious place for the numpty with the walkie-talkie is the other side of the goal line, away from the 'assistant referee' running the line. He would have had an even better view, but why put in place an improved system when just two wheels on the same side of the wagon can work!!

City owners are that rich they could buy talkshite and a couple of papers and change the Narative easily but it’s all irrelevant to them and small fry. In words they don’t give a shit.
The problem they would have then is changing the bias to fair reporting because the main subscriber woyld not understand fairness.

All the headlines in the mail about city have changed in the last few hours, someone’s had a word.

I've seen it suggested that Carl Long doesn't exist. It's a name used (for some reason) over the top of an actual hack.
Which is pretty bizarre in itself.

Google "carl long" football365 for a number of examples.
The club will know just who they've accredited for games at the Etihad, so why not take action against parts of the media responsible for unwarranted attacks on them and any of their employees, especially when they attempt to cover the culprits identify.

My opinion for what it’s worth is the malicious targeting of our club is a ploy to unsettle Pep. They know with him in charge and our owners backing that we are set to dominate whilst he is in charge.

They know that with Pep’s history that they are praying that he will fuck off within the next few years. Quicker if he becomes jaded by the constant press digs and snidy reporting...

But if Pep is the man I think he is, will not be bullied out of city and I hope instead of thinking that he has achieved all he can and look for a new challenge he will do the opposite and really want to dominate and make these ****s suffer.

I hope I am right and not just hoping he loves city as much as we do.

Hopefully Vicky Kloss is on it this morning.

The media are a fucking disgrace when it comes to football in this country.

True, but it depends on the interpretation of what is 'unwarranted' as to when action would appropriate.
The hiding the name is weird, although apparently the Sun claimed in the past that there were reasons (I haven't seen what they are).

Media pick out incidents in games like the sterling one because they know how many clicks they’ll get talkshite know it gets people ringing in texting in more that them blaming the referee. It was all over Social media after what sterling did bottom line it’s about the media making money then going on about our excellent win would not get any clicks or interest from the history clubs! They do it because they have the stats to prove it.

I understand what you mean, but it's frustrating when people I know and who normally have a healthy disregard for everyday media misinformation seem to believe all the malicious attacks on City are the gospel truth.

City winning 6-0 isn’t news any more, we’re that good it’s expected.

99.9% of the population of footy fans aren’t clicking on an article about how good City are, this gets the traffic, as you say.

We live in a sad world where journalism, especially in sports, is in the gutter, due to social media and the internet.

A lot of no marks that have a keyboard passing themselves off as some sort of journo, too.

Absolutely.

The BBC has a load of graduates in Salford working for them.

How many people aged 24-28 are City fans generally speaking?

As a 26 year old myself, I’ve known full well City are hugely unrepresented in my age group because of how shit we were when I was growing up.

Absolutely. You can see by how many are certain that RS dived last night. The Sun piece screams 'no class', and the scoreline is mocked up with the 6 crossed out and replaced with a 5. Anyone not watching will think he cheated.

I think we might get a decent account from one or two hacks if journalism were in the gutter. Unfortunately, ever since the Good Sheikh let the moths fly out of his wallet, the press has occupied the sewers.
