Sterling’s contract - three year extension confirmed

Good lad raheem,he’s the best English player at the moment and he’s miles ahead of the rest of them as well, hope he bags a couple on Sunday along with aguero, silva, sane,Bernardo, mahrez and Laporte..

Jorginho followed his mentor to the chav's. Great player and the right decision for him. A good player. Raheem stays with us. With his mentor . Already a truly great player. Great decision forhim. And us. A fine young man and superb example to todays youth.

That was Redknapp. This is Aldridge:

"He’s got as much, if not more potential, than Raheem had at that age. He’s a big strong lad, very direct and a better finisher than Raheem".

Those ex-dipper players certainly know their stuff , and always manage to remain impartial .

I would be upset if Ederson, Fernandinho and Walker are not on the scoresheets as well.

Aldridge is a fucking throbber & a scouse **** & a throbber.

Glad to see Sterling get the extension.

Sterling's game has grown by leaps and bounds under Pep - he's one of our best players now, contributing with assists and goals as well as on defense.

Still, there's potential for improvement. Namely, Sterling is still far too reluctant to shoot - if a pass seems to be on, he'll more often than not attempt the pass - even when a shot on goal is the better option.

Too, Sterling seems to be a bit clumsy at times - inexplicably so (e.g., his recent kicking of the turf and subsequent tripping).

TL/DR - Sterling is class. But still suffers from a bit of rawness in his game and lack of confidence. Under Pep, he may get better still.

I see the BBC mention his wages again in the headline on their website. Really are ****s.

Due to his age and now extended contract this could impact greatly
on that most valuable player index that gets published

Could he possibly now overtake Kane in this regard?

I think Kane, Salah then Raheem as top 3 in Premier League before
this confirmation?

I was just listening to the Chavs Cundy on talksport and he was heaping praise on our Raz. Not a chance on this planet would i swap Sterling for Neymar was his quote, Tbh you have to agree with him.
Exactly. He is only going to refine the great skills he has and this will improve his consistency, which is already very impressive over the last 18 months. What people generally don't give him credit for is his football intelligence, but for me it's one of the strongest aspects to his game, and a few more years being coached and managed by Pep makes the mouth water.
