Anthony Taylor (of Altrincham)

Credit where it's due, I thought he did alright. He did appear to block a couple of lines of passing in the 1st half but overall a good game from him.

surprisingly decent, how much of that was down to the pre-game media and social media talk is the question

This is a tactic so reminiscent of Ferguson, Mourinho and a few other managers. Make out the ref's a fucking cheat without saying so in so many words, and then you get a performance that is quite contrary to what you expected. He, in the oft-uttered words of the GPC, the ref gave us nowt! But he didn't need to. How would he have chalked off any of the goals? He did give us fuck all, but then we need sweet FA if the ref gets anywhere near applying the laws of the game as they are written.

tbh I wasn't concerned about what he would or wouldn't give us, I was concerned about what he would give them, and thankfully that turned out to be very little that wasn't a correct call

Was worried before the game that the Alty fan would change the course of the game but to be fair apart from the Same incident he did well, he'll be sleeping in the shed tonight though, his rag family won't let him back in the house!

I thought he had an excellent game. He wasn't the talking point a lot of us expected him to be.
