Kodi/SPMC

I’ve mentioned this before but for those of you not as techy minded as others on here I have a very reliable service. It’s a mobile sat dish and receiver that costs about £350 - £400 to set up. I get virtually every game I want to watch in full HD. It’s quite often a foreign commentary but that never detracts from the football for me. I can get BT and Sky but only in SD which is shite now. Sometimes German channels and Bulgarian Nova Sports can be changed to English commentary. I get all the Sports I ever need and never miss a City away game, also as a boxing fan I get all the PPV events. It’s a bit of a chunk initially but well worth it and no techy shit to deal with. The card renewal cost £70 pa, bargain.

Always say if you have the spare cash European cardshare is the way to go. That said the initial cost and mounting of a massive dish are what put me off

My dish is about 90cm so it’s not too bad pal, I know you have good knowledge of the Kodi tech, I’m useless at all that stuff, it’s way above my level but pressing a couple of buttons on my sat is achievable!

Tbh if you've set up a motorised dish system with cardshare you could easily setup Kodi imo.
Setting up a satellite system is no easy feat

For me if you don’t know much about kodi and how to install plugins/repos it be a pain for most because you set a box up build wise with everything working perfectly and after a week maybe a month something will stop working and if you don’t know much about kodi it’s a waste of time.

That’s why apk’s are the way to go and there is abundance of them now out there.

I used to work for SIS (not on the install side) so I know how to tune a dish in with a Promac but as I’m no good with heights I got my mate who’s a bus driver to do it!!

I can get all that in HD for £14 for 3 months.

£14 difference over a calendar year is not an issue. Is that via a satellite system or an unstable media platform like Kodi that needs managing by techy minded users (which I am not). I have never seen the likes of a Kodi box performing as well as my sat box and they always lag behind real time sat broadcasts. I like to watch my live games with Sky Soccer Saturday on the Laptop (which is slightly behind), it’s only away games for me as I go to all the matches at the Etihad but I get my value from watching loads of sport. I also have Sky Sports as I love their golf coverage and football, with my sat subscription plus Netflix and Sky I pay around £90 a month including phone and broadband. A far cry from my first Sky subscription of 2.99!!

You don't have to run iptv just through kodi on an android box, there are many apk options as well that it can be loaded onto and all used within the one device

I think Kodi can even be installed on some satellite receivers. Mostly the higher end ones I think though

I run SMART IPTV via an Amazon stick - no worries.
All football - everything and movies galore.

Yeah you can do it. My first proper box was the first generation fire TV and it ran really well and still does.

I think i have that stick , it will run everything easy apart from big kodi builds, but go on you tube and learn how to get Filelinked , it takes minutes and after that get the filelinked codes off the internet and get 100s off apps , kodi ,kodi builds, iptv`s movie and tv shows and vpn`s, just do not over load the stick and always use a vpn

cheers for that i was going to up date my stick tonight anyway as red box mobdro and show sport had gone off, not too bothered about them as mega box is good for tv and movies and live lounge is great for sky and bt sports even with poor speeds, but must make sure it is all hunky dory for the weekend

I've gone through 3 boxes and all the stuff that goes with them like installing builds etc and every one worked for a bit then started playing up. Then VPN's came along and i looked at setting all that up (lots of help off here pleatfoot and aguerroooo)
but didn't have the time or inclination to do it. Modbro on my tablet was ok until the bastards at Samsung stopped updating it. Then i just went back to internet streams on laptop and got bt sport for us in Europe, which was better than nowt but not much good for my wife who's shitter than me at techy stuff.
Couple of months ago i got a friend of a friend round and he fitted another android box. After a brew and a fag it was ready to go.
I'm not sure what an apk is but this fella does the whole lot for the box, including vpn, content and servers (i think). I can ask him to add content as well if i want.
The box works brilliantly for sport and normal telly, it has a decent epg for the live tv and gets shit from all over the world. Loads of other great features as well and handy category folders to find stuff easily. So far i can't fault the little bit of magic and it's wall to wall footy now in our house.
