Are they better than us? No

Are they close to being as good as us? No

Are they the second best team in the league by quite away? Yes

Therefore I expect them to be able to beat most teams home and away. They lack our ruthlessness and ability to blow teams away. So I expect them to slip up a couple of times not more. I think we will win the league by about 6 or 7 points. Think they will be about the same distance ahead of 3rd place Spurs.

United will not be looking forward to that game, even if it's their biggest game of the year

Jose's record against Klopp's Liverpool

Liverpool 0-0 Manchester United
Manchester United 1-1 Liverpool
Liverpool 0-0 Manchester United
Manchester United 2-1 Liverpool

Not lost to them yet and given away just 2 goals in 4 games. They are the kryptonite for the gegenpress.

If Jose is still there by then.
Can see no reason why that man isn't sacked. Kaldoon would not have delayed this decision, that's for sure

3-0 Away to an in form Watford is an impressive result.
I can't understand how everyone keeps saying 'They'll drop off',
'They won't cope with an injury',
'They'll be too tired' etc.
Looks to me like Liverpool will be right there all the way.
Will get very interesting to see who copes with the pressure and the crap referees, especially the crap referees
They will drop off. They won't cope with injury and they won't finish with ten points of us and I'll bet you £100 I am right.

1. Khaldoon is not the equaliser (thank fuck).
2. The rags don’t want to pay a gigantic compensation bill.
3. Uncle Malc's boys are happy (so it seems) for the rags to achieve CL qualification. If they don’t, PEG will be gone, just like Gollum and TT before him.

History. They like it a lot in the Cult. They think it is an important guide to the future

History says they will get within sight of the prize and then bottle it - see the many losing finals, 2013 etc.

They will finish 3rd behind Spurs. History again. Liverpool have only finished above Spurs once in 9 years.

Deluded tossers.

Surely they'd be 4th then, they only finish ahead of Chelsea every other season.

No guarantees in football, the PL is a marathon not a sprint, but you all know that. For me it would be easy to have another season like last but I have to say it is a little bit more exciting if there are other teams involved. I dont care if this lot win it, if they finish top of the league they deserve it. It will however really piss off the rags and it will be fitting to see the old pisscan witness the return of the team he was hired decades ago to knock off their perch. Personally I believe we are better this year than last. We still have KDB to come back nice and fresh for the toughest part of the year. Winning the league again instead of the media darlings is always something to savour.

They still haven't played anyone. They got a half ready Arsenal and that's it. Chelsea battered them and it took a wondergoal out of nowhere to scrape a draw.

They are in an advantageous position in that being knocked out of the cup will give them a break we don't get.

They've built a great squad this year. Shaquiri was a bloody brilliant piece of business and tbh for the price he's not too far off Mahrez. Yet another case of Sparky making a world class player look bang average. An absolute steal for them.

They have good depth this year.

What will be their undoing is their fans. Their fans build them to a level of hype that will infect the team and then they'll fall to Bournemouth or Fulham etc. Happens every time with them. They invite on complacency every single year. "It's only Stoke" disease.

I think we seriously let them off the hook and had Mahrez scored that penalty, they'd be sat in their place and would have dropped more points by now.

But if they can win through over Christmas, I'll be worried.

I think they'll drop points though.

Except they have - City (lucky result for them), Spurs (won easily), Chelsea (lucky) and Arsenal (fair result).

I agree the Cult put them under pressure. All this deluded positivity from the media will, in the end, take it toll and they will move into the bust phase of their cycle. On the positive side next year will be their year.

A lot of wishful thinking there, can't really claim they will fall to a Fulham etc when they have had tricky games they could have easily slipped up in. They've played no one, yet they have played the rest of the top 4 already with two of them being away. Also played 5th placed Arsenal and then playing 6th placed Everton this weekend. In terms of league positions there is no one stronger they could have played?

We all want them to drop off and I think over the season they will but no one can say it with confidence with how the season has gone so far. They are in a good position and their main downfall is their competition in us. Lets see what the Christmas period brings and fingers crossed not only are we still ahead but that lead is extended.

A buswreckers' fan at work said this morning, "Respect for the way you’re playing, but we’re going to win the League this year".

l replied, "Yeah, you’ve already told me".

Have you informed him that Liverpool will have to get more points than City and finish above City in the league to win it?

They are an excellent side with an excellent manager. Their biggest barrier will be getting over the line mentally for that first trophy (in this era) but if they finish above us they will have deserved it. It will be better for us if they have a run in the Champs League. They could finish second with 90 plus points!
