Very good manager and the best I’ve seen at City but he fucked up today and is occasionally guilty of trying to win the game with experimental tactics rather than simply letting the players win the game, playing them in their best positions. Has Sterling ever started a game at RW when we’ve dropped points over the last couple of seasons?
What sjshou he have done differently?

He's got a lot to learn, that's for sure.

Played Jesus up front thereby allowing arguably our two best players to play in their best positions. What’s the point in playing Mahrez our wide when his main threat is cutting in on his left and crossing it into the box if you’ve got 5ft Sterling in the middle? Sterling skins Alonso all day long on that right wing so why change it? Jesus hasn’t been scoring but his hold up play is still excellent and when it goes up to him, the ball normally sticks, allowing the wingers to receive the ball higher up the pitch. He didn’t do much in the second half when he came on but there’s a lot less space to keep and receive the ball in at 0-1 than there is at 0-0.

The Sane sub made us easy to defend against. Putting Sterling left and Mahrez right means them cutting inside and when there's no attacking impetus from our fullbacks we quickly ran out of ideas. Missed Mendy

Horrific today. For me, his worst day as our manager. No one but him to blame.
Stupid starting xi, worse subs.

I liked the sub. It was a message to Sane, stay attentive at all times or risk being yanked. Sure he could have won us a point today on share brilliance, but so could Sterling.

Best to lose this battle in hopes of learning how to win the war. Leave him.on in hopes of him doing g something brilliant, then you fail to send that message...

You simply cannot take plays off. No matter how good you are. Well maybe if you are Messi :) But short of that? No!!!

Send the message. Win the war. Even I'd it costs you this battle.

What the fuck. When you read it back you’ll feel embarrassed. Lose with dignity. The man is the best manager out there

He was not spoiled for choice given the load of injuries. Raheem, Riadh and Sane have been on fire recently, so he may have thought that we would be better off if he started them together, eventhough this did not pan out against Lyon. We were in controle of the game until they scored from their first attempt, he can not be blamed for our missed chances.

This. Should've started Mendy, Aguero and KdB. And why sub Jesus and Gundo when you've Messi and Ronaldo on the bench. Pep truly is a moron.
