Leicester v City post match

Confidence is shot. Mommentum is with Spuds and the Dippers. The reason they are top is they`ve been winning when playing poorly. They are now hitting form and battering opponents. Possibly the worst time of the year to drop off as there`s little time to regroup.
We need a win, any sort of win at Soton or we`ll be looking over our shoulders and not at the teams above us. Time for Pep to earn his corn.

The players need to earn their corn more like.

We all know we are better than what we are seeing at present, but something is definitely amiss.

Fernandinho, D. Silva and De Bruyne are big misses and Walkers drop in standards has hit us hard.

We have nothing to lose by putting Foden in the side for the next match and is there a full back in the club we could use, however young?

Aguero will come good he has had these spells in the past and needs a better service than he has been getting recently.

Pep must put out his strongest available team at Southampton, we desperately need a win.

He fluffed his lines twice today when set up perfectly. Its about getting him back up to speed not the service.

We've become far too predictable. The build ups are too slow, giving the opposition time to get all their men back behind the ball, and our wingers are being cancelled out. Against Palace all we did was lob crosses into the box, but we've got no forward players who can head a ball. Where's Dzeko when you need him!, and when we do get a chance we're not clinical enough.
We are playing too many players out of position due to lack of cover, Delph has cost us a lot of goals this year, and Fernandinho absence is costing us dear. I'd like to see Zinchenko given a chance in his correct position, forward midfield. I hate to agree with a Rio F, but Walker is a liability, he cost the FA cup last season against Wigan.
It looks like the League's over, I can't see Liverpool dropping seven points and us not dropping anymore. Let's hope we can get all the players fit again and free from injury, so we can win the Champions League, FA & League cups.

Raheem needs David to play the ball for him to do what he's good at - running hard for the ball towards the goal line or through a gap in the middle without any time to hesitate or think about what to do. When he stops, turns and flicks it to the side, you know he's going to lose possession. Sergio just had a bad day by his monumental standards.

Overall, it's as though we've forgotten how to play quick, sharp, hard, low stabbing passes. Instead, we're hitting the ball behind our players, three feet off the ground, curling and spinning and when under pressure, slicing it away. Suddenly, Kevin apart, we can no longer drill a shot.

Leicester did their best to hand the game to us with some woeful balls to our players in their half. We seemed bereft of ideas when we were gifted the ball in those situations.

David's world class covers for the loss of Kevin, but no-one covers for the loss of David. Likewise, without Fernandinho we look so light.

We have 5 world class players

Kdb, Silva,fernie,ederson,kun
With the exception of ederson all been injured

You do wonder if Domènec Torrent is a missing factor as Peps right hand man and is Arteta having more of a say?

Need to rant...

  • Delph is a stereotypical Peter Kay footballer. No intelligence on the pitch at all, summed up by him doing exactly what he got away with vs Everton today when we're chasing the game... braindead.
  • Danilo is a god awful footballer, there's no way someone who never has the ball under control learnt to play in Brazil. Should have sold him in the summer. Garbage and injured half the time anyway.
  • Stones has gone back to the CB that stands off opponents and lets them cross/shoot with ease. Putting Vardy on his weaker foot was the obvious thing to do not let him whip one in.
  • Gundogan needs putting down. He is done. Offer him to Ajax whilst we can.
  • Far too much pressure on Sane to be the one that makes the difference in attack. On the other wing we have someone who does next to fuck all then pops up with a tap in from Sane's good work and gets a huge payrise as a result.
  • Already sick of seeing Mahrez jogging about doing fuck all. He's our Ozil but with half the talent.
  • Silva was needed but taking KDB off was such a dumb decision. Gave up all hope at that point. He looked fine, he could have carried on for another 15-20 mins!

Title is over unless the players buck up their ideas and go on a long winning run starting now.

And the issue with this? 4 of those 5 were signed before Pep got here. We haven't added to the squad the way we needed to the last few years, even if you add laporte to the list.

Seems to me sterling got his new contract, and now doesn't give 2 shits, he has been piss poor since getting his money, yet every one on here saying oh pay him what he wants he is worth every penny, I for one wasn't arsed if he went or stayed, last 2 games makes me think he should have fucking gone
He isn't the only one whose standards have dropped since signing a new contract.

Same old story. Then after defeat the players come out and say how they are determined to put things right. Then we get beat again.

Congratulations, you win 2nd prize behind Delph in today's biggest bellend award

Dippers have Gooners and us next two game ok last two games have been a disaster but win against Southampton Gooners win, then over to our place it's far from over have faith people.

Not sure Aguero is world class any more. I'd say Sterling was world class.

I knew the game was lost as soon as KDB went off but what can you do? If Spurs or Liverpool were without Kane or Salah they'd be done for as well.

The player who has disappointed me a great deal this season is Mahrez. He didn;t play until late in the game, but I wouldn't trust him now. With injuries to KDB and SIlva he should have been able to step up. Not sure he will at City.

I would have given more responsibilty to Foden but perhaps Guardiola doesn't want to put the pressure on him.
