Leicester v City post match

So many star players are out of form. Have seen Gundo criticised but Sterling, Sane and Kun were abysmal up front. We looked like headless chickens.

We’ve blown a good lead, an “unassailable” goal difference and even let Spurs past us, all in the space of about 3 weeks.

Fcukity fcuk.

This is all down to the manager, we have no plan B hence when 2 or 3 players are off form or we have injuries, we see performances like this, Mancini, Pelegrini and now Pep, none of retained the title, Pep cannot adjust his teams to grind out results end of.

League has gone, top 4 looking under threat now with the way we’re playing.
Fucking hell we even turned into a long ball team with 5 minutes to go.
Positives from today. Delph got sent off.
No idea how we’ve become this shit.

Simple really we never improved our squad in key positions in the summer. Once again when we should have.

Desperate for a centre forward and dm at least. This puts pep into a position where we play players out of position just like his first year.

We are relying on okay players not great players to get us through injuries.

Mahrez, Jesus, Gundy, Delph, Zinchenko, Walker are ok players nothing more. Non have been great this season but have seen plenty of games.

Whilst key players have been injured or inconsistent. I can only really think of Laporte as 8/10 every game.

Our squad isn’t as great as people make out.

Really don’t see us winning the league but I want us to fight till the end.

Our main issue is shocking finishing.
We miss far to many easy opportunities.

Watford last 10 minutes for some reason was a big turning point in our performance & season.

Let’s just get behind the team and go again blues.

Absolute shocker. Totally deserved what we got.
Sane and Delph were absolutely appalling. Gundogan and Sterling barely any better. No one else gets much credit either. Too slow, sloppy passing, poor defending and no cutting edge.
We’re missing Fernandinho enormously but that can’t be the only reason for our poor performance.
If we lose to Liverpool next Thursday that’s 10 points behind and us out of the title race. Could even be 13 points behind if we play like this on Sunday.

It’s not coincidental that our dip in form follows silva’s injury. The drop in level to gundo is massive. Mendy getting another long term injury has also hit us really hard. Still can’t believe Foden doesn’t get more game time. More energetic and more creative than Gundogan

We havent become a bad team overnight and i thought every player ran his bollocks off , weve conceded a couple of 25 yard screamers that has cost us a couple of draws and we have been profligate when we have created good chances , we also have big players easing their way back from injuries. No doubt a lot of anger and frustration on here and some knee jerk reactions , but when we get our squad fit and firing we will start churning out wins and we can see how the Dippers handle being the favourites with ourselves chasing them all the way , our football club doesnt throw the towel and neither should we , 57 points to play for , Champs league and a couple of cups to win.

Out of the title race in December.

The most frustrating thing is that it was entirely predictable months ago. Failure to sign a left-sided fullback and defensive midfielder have cost us dearly already.

And this bad spell is far from over yet. Teams have sussed out how to stop our wingers, which is the only avenue through which we can attack without a proper left-sided fullback.

Delph was at fault again today for their first goal. We had the numerical advantage and should have been able to deal with the counterattack, but he is ball-watching and has zero awareness of the only threat to our goal, which is behind him.

Without Fernandinho we’re vulnerable every time on the counterattack. Gundogan is no fitting substitute for him. We have no adequate backup in this position and the club knew this but gambled on the hope that they could get away with it for another season.

We’re extremely fortunate that Chelsea slipped up last weekend, or our position would be even more precarious.
