Quite right about the best eleven bit. Still firmly believe that in the last two games though we've had enough quality players on the pitch to dispose of CP and LC. Our defence has turned to blancmange and the attacking side not much better. Speaking of priorities I firmly believe the scousers will willingly dispense with the FAC and CL this season in order to win the league title.
 
hate losing and being in a bad moods for days and its christmas so its even worst time of the year

but am old school and i crack a smile on my face when knowing we are moaning like fuck about being in the top 4 of the premier league and a country mile in front of the scum, and would it be that bad if spurs or liverpool go on to win the league ??? i can handle any other team than united winning the league or silverware

again am not digging out anybody or the manager and losing to another wonder strike makes it a little bit better to take, i did wonder after the season we had last year if we could even manage the pressure from the fans and media of being record breakers and taking it forward into this season, we have become a little billy big bollocks and think every game we should win and the other teams roll over for the champions

from here on in its a long shot for me and we are in a mess and we have lost our mojo a little and we have seen the cracks at the full back roles and a holding midfield and when fernandinho is missing we just don't have a cover to drive and hold us together

its been a great ride and you have to have a dip and then regroup and take your medicine and glory and silverware should never be taken for granted and its when you know your club manager and players best, they need your backing and love even more at hard time if they are really that bad in the first place

Missed this and the Palace games as I’m in Australia on holiday, but will be back for the Liverpool game so no panic lads !!!

People have become like rags & dippers because they are upset we lost 2 games on the spin? I think it's you that drew for the revolver a bit to suddenly.
 
Fine margins, Danilo gets taken out before their equalizer in a Leicester shirt and the ref gives a foul 100%. We were not at our best but Ref bias played its part against Palace and Leicester.
 
This will test peps mettle aswell. At the minute he doesn’t look like he can make the changes to turn games around but I still have faith in him.i think the English players have got big bollock syndrome with getting to the semi final if the World Cup they think they are better than they actually are. Forget how lucky they were with the World Cup draw. Think we will come good but need a miracle for title

If he is out there is an argument for 3 at back with 2 doing dinho job.

Anyway, just play every forward next game and forget defending
 
The whole of the second half I was sat watching knowing what was coming,seen those games so many times, toothless in front of goal and sucker punched. We have so many "nice" players, but when the going gets tough they shit themselves and hide. Only player wanting to grab the game and win it for us was Kev and he got whipped off!
 
We've stopped being ruthless in front of goal, it's reminding me of peps first season when we should put away chances and they only need one chance to score from it

We miss Fern so much
Cannot afford to be without him. Look at the last few weeks since chelsea defeat . How did we do without him? Lost twice .Elephant in the room really unless we start admitting what's a gaping hole of a problem .
Same fixture last year , Fern present. Heck leicester even had a good Mahrez that day .We had 70% possession , nearly 800 completed passes and gave them 0 shots on target . This was on the 18/11/17
Pep's teams are so well oiled that even a small percentage of an anomaly can result in disaster . Sorry to be so hyperbolic but in reality the well oiled machine has certain requisites - possession 9/10ths of the law usually, 85% and above pass completion rate so that there's an end product that doesn't often result in turnovers to opposition, low amount of corners to opposition , tackles that involve winning balls back, 2nd actions etc that involves commitment and intensity etc , 5-10 shots on target Did we see an acceptable rate of that today ? Just asking .
Fern does that donkey work that we Unfortunately take for granted in spoiling and
David Silva has also been out injured. Huge player -scores goals too.
Mendy has been missed because his attack keeps oppo on their toes and adds to percentage possession and completion rate. He can be caught out at times but not so much as to concede too many goals.We allied far too many shots on target today -5!
Kevin hasn't been missed until we have lost the other 3 to injury. He only played half a game today. Not enough to secure a result.
It all adds up
But Fern is a huge loss , a spoiler, a grinder, a workhorse, as ubiquitous as the day is long , accurate passing,nearly all moves go through him, director and initiator of actions , scores the odd goal etc list goes on .
Let's see how Pool do withoutVVD and Salah for 3 games. Thing is ,they wouldn't fall apart as much as we do because we are such an optimal machine. A thing of beauty that is disrupted when certain huge players are injured and rhythm is lost.
At Southampton if we have 6 shots on target we will score 2-3 .If we allow them 5 on target they could score 3.
Need Fern back
If not then Pep you have to find something .
 
Let's summarise: Claude Puel, the new genius (!). He beats Sarri and Pep with three DEFENSIVE midfielders who can't control a ball (??)
