What is it going to take for him to give Foden a run of games? You are guaranteed 100% effort from him and that he will look to make things happen yet Pep is terrified of playing him. What the fuck game does he watch if he thinks Gundogan is playing well and deserves to get picked each week?

In his three seasons at Bayern and his two and a half seasons here he’s barely given any youth players a chance. It’s time for people to stop looking at what he did at Barca, as that was 9-10 years ago.

Foden isn't ready yet. If he was the same built as Morgan Gibbs White he would start more games. His development is coming on fine. By the end of this season he will have played 40 senior games.

Had obviously decided that no matter what the match situation KDB was coming off after 70 mins. Our best midfielder, taken off in a must win game when half of the side should have come off before him based on ‘performance’. We have lost the plot ere.

Pushing players too much when they’re coming back from a serious injury to try to win 1 single game, when there’s still 19 League games to go and three other cup competitions - Some have lost the plot on “ere” you’re right.

Were you watching KdB before he went off ? He was f**ked, blowing through his arse, it was a tough game for midfielders, and he'd given all he had.

Pep has had a bad 3-4 weeks for me, but he was right with KdB today.

I'd suggest that only using 2 subs today was a bigger issue, given the number of games we have upcoming.

Pep came out and said Foden was ready though.

People can make excuses all they want about their youth but Pochettino isn't afraid of throwing his young players in and Klopp played Alex-Arnold in big games and apparently it's only us that can't afford to play the youth.

Foden should be starting games with the injuries we've had in midfield, simple as that.

What Pep needs to do is to get us playing to our maximum again very soon. We may or may not win the league but he needs to show that he is the manager we think he is as there are still four trophies still to play for. Our current form isn't acceptable regardless of injuries.

I guess its about squad harmony. Id sell Gundogan in the summer and give Foden his spot, saves money too. Otherwise he really needs to go on loan next season.

Who will buy Gundogan? I don’t know how long he’s got left on his deal. Don’t think any other prem league club would be interested and pay him the sort of Money he’s getting here. Give him a free transfer

Mate, if he is just coming back to playing and getting fatigued before the 90 mins is up, it would be ridiculous to keep him on and risk further injury.

Barca was considering a 50m bid in the summer apprently

He had a couple of bad weeks last season which cost us the chumps LG and winning the title v un**ed but he soon sorted it out and will this time. He’s only human

Pep is stubborn, no doubt, but that stubbornness brought us last season so criticism needs to be balanced against this.

That said, if we go the rest of this season without giving Foden a sustained run of meaningful appearances I will be pissed off. If we then go onto spend more tens of millions in the summer on positions that make it harder for him to be given his chance next season as well I would begin to think the unthinkabe. If we beat liverpool it is very much game on in the title race again. long way to go yet

Is your opinion so fair dos. I think we lost to Liverpool because of circumstances out of our control and against the vermin because Sterling was having a wobble and not finding the target from 6 yds whilst 2-0 up

True enough. But we also forgot how to defend in the second half against the Rags. Just as we have, seemingly, forgotten how to defend in the last month.

Pep had nothing to do with us losing a 2-0 lead agaisnt United. That was all on the players. Don’t see how anyone can blame Pep for our poor form at the minute too. Injuries to key players are catching up on us. He’s tried to adapt by playing players in different positions, like he’s done successfully in the past.
