Bring the Noise

WHEN THEM FOOLS START SINGING ynwa WE NEED TO SHOUT IT DOWN, every time they touch the ball give it to them as its ur last breath, make them shit there selfs every time they touch the ball, anything to give us the chance to fuck them over

The thing to note about the comments by Kompany and Pep is that they don't automatically assume the home support will be loud and passionate on Thursday. That is itself is a concern as we all know that it can give the players a big lift, deflate the opposition and influence the officials when a decision might otherwise be 50:50. We need to get the place rocking and cheer the team on from the first whistle to last.

For the entirety of the first half of the QF last year the Scouse shat themselves. After Jesus’ goal, they were in a state of panic that I haven’t seen from them in ages. The crowd contributed to that massively. Need an atmosphere before the kick off and throughout the whole game. We just can’t drop our heads if they score.

Yep. They were all over the shop. If sane’s goal had stood, there’s no way they’re winning the tie.

It’s the old Mike Tyson adage - everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.

I've wondered before what Pep and the players must think of our support. We don't exactly come across as passionate. Not sure why, because over the last 40 odd years I've been going, we have had some brilliant nights of tremendous support.

We all love City FFS, why are we so placid?

Makes me think the same thing Maine road days were incredible and we was garbage now look at us we are in dream land and some of them in the stadium need waking up.

I’ve told the person I’ve given my seat to that she had better sing/shout at least as loudly as I do or else I’ll never lend her my ticket again when I’m out of the country!! I’ve also given instructions to all my friends that they have to shout extra loud to make up for my absence! Will that do folks? I’ll be cheering along over here but they won’t hear me. With you all in spirit lads & lasses. Come on City.

The Boys in Blue never give in, they fight to the end.

Frankly, noise is never an issue for big games such as these.
Its the games against mid table opponents that are a problem, as the crowd doesn't seem to get stirred.

Dippers when the TV cameras arent there , no atmopshere at all , went to the Dipper v Plymouth cup game in 2017 , corporate do , and the Plymouth fans embarrassed the Kopite gobshites out sang them all the game , and they were chanting "shall we sing a song for you" Anfield is one of the biggest myths out there , they are quiet as a mouse for 90% for most of their games
Totally agree with this. Our company has a box at Anfield and I go to about 3 games a season (including City game).
The atmosphere is not good for run of the mill games. And believe it or not, they have empty seats away from the tv view.

Gentrified into submission, aged into acceptance. Every ground suffers from "the library syndrome", and yet are generally full, wtf? If this game does not raise the roof then nothing will. For those who have experienced Bundesliga atmospheres, it must be really frustrating. I dont imagine Aris levels of fanaticism would be acceptable to most of our fans, you only have to read the posts slaughtering any suggestions of a drum to know that. Thing is, it doesn't have to be singing/chanting, any old racket will do;
the loudest fans in the NFL at Century-link stadium dont have "songs", just noise, but they feel they are making a difference, and keep it going until the end. No-one gets dirty looks, because they are all joining in. Not suggesting for one moment we copy them, but in lieu of anything else, there's nothing to lose in borrowing an idea and adapting it for our needs. The Kippax Roar has gone forever, the Etihad Bedlam is about to be born.......
Maybe, (a fkn' big maybe) but hope springs eternal

Honestly this is the biggest game we’ve had in years
Is it f**k, its a league game midway through the season, from here anything can happen.

In 2012 we were 8 points behind with 6 games left, and we still won it, in 2014 the dippers were champions in April, but sadly (for them) not in May when it actually counts.

A sense of perspective isn’t allowed in online forums pal

I think we have become a bit too mellow as a fan base, maybe as ours is quite aged? I would love us to give their coach and players a good old 70/80's welcome. It doesn't have to be illegal just lots of booing and swearing to unnerve them and carry it on all game. Let them feel the hate like we give it to the rag scum.
