Bring the Noise

Still pisses me off that we sing about bloody Amorim when we're two up against Napoli.
I know we beat the rags on Sunday but we were singing the same song at Wolves on the first day of the season.
On the other hand; I'll be joining in at full volume on the last day of the season if indeed they do go down.
Ridiculous.

If we're going to use the tune fine but rewrite the words to feature a City player and slow the rhythm down. It's could be very atmospheric.

Additionally, we should adopt some of the departed plays songs for the current players., it's not disrespectful and they're not sacrosanct ie " Here's to you Josko Guardiol " " Doku..Doku Doku..Doku Doku..Doku..J e r e m y Doku "

Get my drift.

There was a lot going on at home whilst I was watching, so didn’t catch this. It is weird as the first thing posted on here when they do it is quite rightly slagging them off for singing about us during a game that had nothing to do with us.

I get the thing about singing songs about them when we're not playing them but regarding us having a pop at them for singing songs about us when they're not playing us, for me it's more a case of them always claiming not to care about City and that the red scouse/Leeds/Arse, etc are bigger rivals. However, that doesn't hold up to scrutiny because they have more songs about us than that lot put together. In short, they claim not to be obsessed with us but the reality is that they are. Whereas City fans have never denied that they're the team we hate the most and hence we will sing songs about them. I don't think we're as obsessed with them these days as we used to be though. Probably because they're such a fucking laughing stock on the pitch.

I thought the atmosphere was decent last night. Good constant noise throughout. Napoli fans weren't great, but they're similar to most European away clubs when you take their drums off them - they can only sing when they're told to do so!

Because the KC was so loud, it was much easier to hear (and join in) from 015. When the whole South Stand + KC got going, it really spread around the ground too.

I think the Amorim chant is great. Very atmospheric. I will revel in United's downfall regardless of the opposition!

Credit to the Blues who tried to get the atmosphere going. It was hard to make an impression in the first half but it was party time for chunks of the second half.

I have several renditions of the Amorin song to my fellow 109ers (used to be the 209 ultras).
