Paulo Dybala

Said it before - I don’t see it - I know it’s all about opinions but for every good game this guy has - and he can be good he’s bang average in another 3 or 4. You buy consistency when you pay £100m or at least you should.

I know their manager was a basket case this world cup, but he had good CV from Chile job and others. He didn't give the lad more than 6 or 7 mins a game in the world cup. Behind some very poor players.

Says a lot. I've not seen anything in him that suggests he's good enough for us. For the money we would pay I'm out.

Do you draw the same conclusions from Aguero's minutes? Says much more about Sampaoli than it does Dybala.

He can be sublime on his day and is an exciting player. However, I'm not sure he fits our style of play and I couldn't see him leading the line in the Prem.

Did he even feature at the WC?

I thought he’d be ahead of Higuian in the pecking order and seriously challenging Aguero for his place.

He got about 20 mins iirc, but that's down to the manager... one of many strange decisions by Sampaoli.

He is the Messi understudy. So long as Messi isn't injured he wasn't going to play. He is not an out and out striker, AM or winger. He is more A Tweener. And Messi is the best Tweener there is. So it made sense he didn't play.

Argentina's problem wasn't attack persee, it was being disjointed. And he would not have been able to do much about it.

OK. Thanks.

Apparently, we have placed a bid:

Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have all tabled an offer for Juventus superstar Paulo Dybala ahead of a potential move next summer.

Reports in Italy suggest Juventus have so far ignored all interest in their 25-year-old Argentine forward but they could cash in at the end of the season.

Juventus bought Dybala for just £23million in June 2015 but could now recoup nearly four times that if they choose to sell one of their prized assets.

Although he has lots of ups and downs, I think he would be perfect for us, and a great complement and eventually successor to Kun.

Followed by if Juve are interested in selling, it could be possible that there might be rumours that maybe we might be willing to tell Juventus that it's not outside the realms of possibility that we could be interested.
But presumably only at 15:24 on a Monday 2 weeks after the winter solstice in an odd year.

I'm a big fan of Dybala, but he doesn't fit our team right now, and certainly not for the amount of money Juve would want for him.
