Anthony Taylor (of Altrincham)

Live as in at the game?

From my armchair it was obvious on first look.

You have to look at it like this, did Sterling go down or was he brought down? Watching it live I don't know how anyone can be so sure.

Some refs will give them though some won't, it's just one of those where only a TV replay can properly decide it.

Yeah maybe you're right, the first contact actually comes at the knee which I believe the linesman is ideally placed to spot. My 6 year old watching the game with me said on first look 'did you see that Dad, he just throwed him to the ground'.

It doesn't properly decide it though - it's still very often a matter of opinion. Same as with the Kompany one, it depends who you ask. Sure, there will be occasions where the referee has missed seeing someone take a machete to another player, but football is full of instances of maybe, might be, in my opinion stuff.

The penalty for Oldham, was very clear - Sessegnon grabbed the Oldham player before the ball came over, continued holding him as it came nearer, and didn't stop. You can almost see that Taylor has seen it.

The penalty for Fulham was an appalling decision, and VAR failure.
My error I meant the Fulham one. Not sure how firstly it was given and secondly it wasn't overturned. That is the problem with VAR in all its glory, the rags and dippers will still receive favourable decisions despite evidence to the contrary

The introduction of VAR will not remedy the ridiculous decisions that are currently called. The Salah pen, the Fulham pen, a host of Kompany/Delph-like tackles that do not receive either of the sanctions dished out to our two angels, the guy going in studs first on Eddie last night, the number of times our forwards are cleaned out lock, stock and testicles! It will further add even more eyebrow-raising questions. It was clear to any moron who watches the game that the Salah and Fulham pens did not meet any of the major criteria set out for the sanction of a pen. Pure and simple attempts to con the ref - and they got away with it! And once VAR gives the nod then there will almost certainly be no reference to the RDAHMeedya Diving Committee at FArce HQ.

Was it just me, or was Mr A. Talyor always blowing for a free kick to Liverpool everytime, 1 of their players went down. It was simply disgusting the way Liverpool were always diving to try and win either free kick's or penalty's in the box. What was Taylor's answer to all of this cheating by Liverpool, just let them get a away with it. So instead of following the laws of the game and booking them no, I will just keep on giving them free kicks, hopefully I will be able to give them a penalty.

He was, especially in the second half, pulling our players up every time they got as much as touch tight in the tackle but allowing the Liverpool players to barge and wrestle ours off the ball constantly.

You two are talking far too rationally. It’s the “agenda” don’t you know!

It seems to be the standard with some teams now that when the ball is lost in a tackle that conforms to the LotG the player losing the ball immediately falls to earth with a flourish for which the tackler could not be held responsible, and how many refs seem to think they are?

I thought he got the two big calls, Kompany foul and Sterling penalty, right. I also think both decisions could have gone the other way (although that would be wrong in my opinion).

However I agree with.the comment above by someone, that rather than waving them up he Should have booked a number of Liverpool players for diving (particularly Mane)

Well they didnt. Kompany didnt get a red and we got a late penalty at Klopperfield, how do you explain that ?
Didn’t get a red because it wasn’t
Taylor wasn’t the ref at Anfield
Didn’t give the Sterling cast iron penalty that was a rugby tackle
Allowed numerous dippers to pull back, barge and jump into City players with impunity.

Apart for that he was magnificent

Talking about when VAR is being used. But to answer your question he didn’t get a red because the challenge didn’t merit a red card and we got a penalty as it was a stonewall penalty
But half the country (including all 3 pundits in the studio) thinks Kompany shouldve got Red so the Ref couldve sent him off IF he were biased towards Liverpool (as you insinuated most officials are)

Here was a golden opportunity to send VK off and he didnt.
And Ive seen 'stonewall penalties' not given before. To give it right near the end of a game at Klanfield hardly shows bias to Liverpool. In fact the opposite.

Half the country - lol. Are you Chemical Ali's press officer! Ref had no choice but to award the pen. Not going to waste any more energy debating this subject with you as you clearly don't get it

What he's saying though is that if the refs are being told to make sure the Dippers win the title, wether a sending off or not, Kompany, or the pen at Anfield, surely Atkinson & Taylor wouldn't of helped us?

Few dippers at work genuinely feel hard done by in that game due to his reffing. Quite a few of ours do as well. I don't care what anyone says, Vinny could easily have been sent off for that challenge with another ref. Trying to be unbiased at times can be really hard.

It must play on his mind when he ref's us, the Rag's of the Dipper's that he's under the microscope, as there is no real doubt who he supports. I can't believe for a second that it doesn't effect his decision making process. Huge pressure.

To be fair (as fair as one can be to a Rag scumbag), he's not done too bad. Any dodgy decisions have appeared to be down to him just being a bit sh*t.
