Atalanta have the best Academy in Italy and have a track record of developing players who usually go on to Milan or Juventus.
Probably Tom wasn’t good enough for us but I’m not sure any of our youth players ever will be if they aren’t given a chance.

Has anyone else noticed how many young up and owning footballers have double barrelled last names?
Used to be the preserve of the chinless and it appears to be standard for any half decent young player (and Fosu-Mensu).

He is 19 not going to break into our team and he will be moving to a good club with us getting some money! So nothings going on its city acadamy doing what its set up to do.

I imagine it's a nationwide trend and not just a footballer thing. 42% of marriages end in divorce etc.
He's got a lot of potential. Has all the physical and technical attributes to succeed.
Atalanta are known for being one of the best clubs in Italy for bringing kids through so hopefully this is a well thought out move and they've got real plans for him and it's not just taking a punt on a promising academy kid hoping for another Sancho.
