Huddersfield (A) Post Match Thread

Hate to grumble after a 0-3 away win, albeit that we were a little off the pace and sloppy in possession

But, Gundogan is a very odd player to work out. Last few weeks in the 'easy' home games he has been excellent and clearly seems popular with the other players

Was surprised he started today, however, as it was all too predictable that they would be getting stuck in, especially in midfield, which is clearly not his forte

Sorry if it has already been mentioned but I thought the very worst part of today's game (from our perspective, not nailed on non-penners) was his miss just before half time, where he put it hopelessly wide from a very good kind of inside-right position about 10 yards out

I hate to accuse any player of cowardice, but for all the world it looked to me like he deliberately avoided getting a proper shot off, as he knew that if he tried to wrap his foot around the ball he would get whacked by the covering defender

If he did that, it is very much on the no-no list!

Sorry, but that is absolute rubbish about Gundogan. Sure it wasn't a very good shot, but to accuse him of doing it on purpose.
You take having it in for a player to a whole new level.

He did it on purpose because he's a nice boy with etiquette and realised 4-0 would have just been too harsh on them.

Is a bit of a shame Huddersfield going down as such an easy away trip. Was home in about 30 mins quicker than the Etihad sometimes.

I miss Blackburn away and villa and the two Sheffield clubs.

I want to see Leeds, Blackburn, sheff wed, sheff united and villa all back in the prem.

Fuck these trips to Cardiff, Bournemouth and Brighton.

Good to see quite a few blue mooners today. Bill looking well in his wheels.

Pies were good, performance was very disjointed, Marriner needs a guide dog and it took half an hour to get out the car park.
Drums and clap-sticks: Like Wigan, they may be local but they add fuck all to the sum of human happiness.

Last 4 games
22-0.
Can't really argue with that.

With all the goals going in it’s maybe taken the focus off of the run of clean sheets.

Might not be the best opposition but it will be giving the boys increased confidence - a lot easier to win if you only need one goal.

After a run of 9 games without one would be nice to go on a similar run of clean sheets.

Was there any trouble today usually is with them fuckers

Not been to the last 3 games at hudds, so don't know what it's like now but they used to be always trouble on the walk back to the train station , that Friday night match we played them years ago was fun!

We did enough today without really getting out of second gear, and still only limited them to a couple of chances. A better team might have buried those chances; we had more than enough in reserve

Walker had his usual brain fart, and Fern took one for the team, so another couple of yellows to add to the tally.

Kev not back up to his usual high standards, but there is time yet. Pep is rotating to keep things fresh, and we should have plenty of depth for the run in.

The dippers haven't got the depth we have, and they are pretty shaky under pressure. We will only get stronger.

Always pal had a few scuffles there. especially the old stadium

Gundogan is shite every game ? Who are these "people" you speak of ? Interesting that the best coach in the world keeps on picking him though , maybe i TRUST Pep's judgement more than your "people".

Who said my People? Have you somehow missed that a lot of people on here dislike Gundogan? Probably more dislike him than like him. He plays good 1 in 5

You seriously think he has a shocker every game? You must watch different football to me.

It is clear that he is the ongoing target. A few games ago it was Gabby. A few years ago it was DS. Decades ago it was Ian Bowyer.

He shows up every now and then. Gabby hit a rough patch.
