But he’d only be in the squad because we are 9-0 up at half time in the League Cup against a League One team. I think he can probably realise that it’s only in these rare scenarios that he’d be given a chance, more to protect important players than to develop the kids, and that it’s not really enough to choose staying over going to Germany, for example. If he can get more money and more opportunities, then it’s a no brainer.
 
It’s the same young players get no chance discussion over and over again. Other than the odd exception, what European top team is playing their kids of 18 on a regular basis?
Yes I’d love young players making it in to the first team. And if that happens when they are actually 18, great. Pep says of Foden he will be treated like any squad player from now on. So he needs to be good enough. As do the other youngsters.
 
PEP:
Komps still has a little injury, should be fit soon.
KDB and Foden will start.
2-3 young players will start, 2-3 on the bench.
Mangala not in the Burton squad.
Muric in goal.
Underplayed players will play, others will have a rest.
No comment on refs due to obvious consequences. "Just play better."
Maybe 1 player will be tested on a different position, otherwise on their usual position.

It is. A full month ahead of schedule. I hope people are patient. He's missed so much football it's going to take a lot of games to see him back at his best. The sooner he starts playing competitve games the better.

I only really know from the early 70's on but there weren't too many playing in any top team regularly at that age.

Great video as usual, but Pozo is only 18 (turns 19 in august) which makes him about 2-3 months younger than Foden
 
are there many/any involved in the Checkatrade game who probably would have been in the Burton squad?

I guess Touaizi would be on the bench, Frimpong maybe (RB), with Bolton playing a more offensive role. Don`t know about Gomes. Pretty sure Bernabe and Matondo is still injured

PEP The guys who have a lot of games in their legs are going to rest (tomorrow night). Players who need to play, who haven't played lately, or have come back from injury are going to play.

PEP We start at 9-0. An unusual situation. Our approach is to improve every single game. That is the target I want to see tomorrow - not what happened in the first game. Think about how to attack and how to improve our methods, doing it better and better.

PEP @benmendy23 is in the squad tomorrow. Maybe on the bench. Mangala is not going to play. I don’t know what situation is with his transfer. If he doesn't leave, he's going to stay with us.

PEP @VincentKompany is not okay. A few little injuries. Not fit. He is coming back but I don’t know when.

PEP Muric has played top. We believe he has incredible potential for us. He's not scared to play, even in tough moments. Tomorrow is a chance for him to show us how good he is.
