I` am indeed on platinum. always have been, not arsed about 50 quid. I refused superbia because I had the points any way. it wasn't worth it as it was 7.5 k for the 3 of us.
Theres the problem £50 to some is nothing the £150 it would of cost me to put myself and 2 kids on is 2 weeks food shopping

yeh its a priority thing. we are old and have grown up kids, much easier.. years ago we were in the same boat.
Thats the thing with the system its about timing who was in a good place when it kicked in ie jobs, kids, money morgages retirements etc.
We wernt so basically the system is an irrelevance to us now.never mind its been fun in the huddersfield and burton ends this week :+)

Without wanting to open another debate on avenues to getting a ticket, if you're hoping to get one through loyalty points I'd be surprised if it goes below 20k (feel free to correct me if someone disagrees).

Tickets generally seem to be going on sale roughly a month before each game recently.

Hope that helps.

If you don’t give so many points out for away games fewer will buy them to sell on.
More points for home games than away seems much more logical.
So burton at home in the cup 50, burton away 10
Added to that if the S/C isn't used in a league game then deduct the points for that game, I have no issue with people having to miss games but it may get them passed on or put on the exchange where if sold should perhaps keep the points for the game for the seller.

This favours those that are able to pass the card on, there's no loyalty (points) if you don't attend yourself!

Its easier to have a go at osc points whores etc and pretend this isnt happening bud.
Maybe city dont want to find out where these tickets are coming from ?

Like the 80 for Schalke away in our away end on stubhub.ie alone.....

And i failed for Shalke by 50 points!!!!

Hey ho 40 points for going to Newcastle

Facebook a bigger problem than supporter clubs imo.

Not really FB site sell
Having just now read the entire thread from scratch I feel it's time to put my 2 h'pennys worth in. In the old days we turned up at the ground and paid on the turnstyle and when there was a really big game we queued. I queued for over 12 hours for a Wembley ticket for the Gillingham game, not a great system but I was grateful when I got one. And in those days the football was shite, we went because we were City fans not because the team were likely to win or even turn up. There was one season we didn't win a single away game and I went to nearly all of them.
Enough of the nostalgia. My gripe is tout sites. I couldn't get a ticket for Basel away last year and had already booked my flights and accomodation so just to see I checked the likes of viagogo etc. I went through four or five sites and found (if I wanted to pay through the nose) I could have bought around SIXTY tickets IN THE CITY SECTION. So 60 people had managed to get sought after tickets and were trying to flog them for several hundred pounds a go. And this wasn't an isolated occurence, I've checked several other sold out games with similar results. I believe there are touts who have season tickets and maximum points who buy every ticket to sell on for as much profit as possible. It would be easy for the club to find them, all they have to do is buy a ticket off a tout site, trace who it was sold to and ban the perpetrator from buying any more tickets.
And in case you're wondering, I did get a Basel ticket in the end by paying £100, it was the only way I could get one.

The Club will do nothing as they are complicit in the raking off, of tickets. Also a lot of tickets sold at higher prices come from corporates.
The Club will never investigate in case it loses a corporate.
Yet they threatened people operating FV or below sites on FB.

I really find that hard to believe, they may turn a blind eye to it unless we put pressure on them by asking them to investigate through the CM meetings.

I agree with Wilmslow Road.
What are they going to do if it’s found that the tickets on the touting website have come from some corporate clients?

First of all I guess they would warn them and if they persist stop them getting tickets for aways.
Not sure if you have heard this story or not so apologies if you have.
When we played Celtic in the CL the Mrs and I travelled up on Virgin first class. At the table to our side was a guy who had five tickets AND five wristbands to give out when he got there. I asked him how come he didn’t have to queue like the rest of us. And he said he told Danny Wilson if he thought he was going to queue up after putting all the money he does into the club then he can just fuck off. Then he said he was asked the names of the people getting the tickets to which he replied “how the fuck do I know? I won’t know who’s going till the day of the game?”
So not only didn’t he have to queue for two hours in the rain like the rest of us mugs but, potentially, he had four additional tickets and the wristbands that he could sell on at a profit. Of course they may have gone to his four mates he had invited, they could have been sold at the game

He sounds like a proper billy big spuds smart arse to me. I have three separate corporate acquaintances that I have used to get tickets when I can't (I have17.5k points) and I know for sure that they would only apply for tickets upon request and never overcharge. I know that doesn't mean that others don't do it but I just find it hard to believe that City are complicit in this.
By the way, you should have sat in that indoor square at Celtic listening to the live band and drinking till the queue disappeared, like us clever ones did ;-)

When I arrived in Glasgow the queue was minimal. But we waited for two of our kids to arrive before queuing with them. If only I’d been allowed to get their tickets for them like the twat on the train.

I've no doubt there are touts with seasoncards but rather than waiting for people at the club to get off their arses and look into it the people who buy these touted tickets should report the ticket details to the club.

For the Basel case you mentioned, is it possible that it was the same dozen or so tickets being touted on multiple sites? 60 seems a lot from a fairly small European allocation.

They must do well then because to get the high points they have to be in all cup schemes and it’s piss easy to get tickets for them so can’t imagine touts making much. Perhaps they take a hit on these games for the big profits of the away games. Points started way back though when we were shit and tickets were easier to come by for home and away games though so I can’t see how this was a profitable busiensss for a tout until recently.

It’s like that block of Sunderland fans in our end in the cup final. Whoever sold them in one block was totally irresponsible. God knows how that many together ended up in the hands of Sunderland fans

I am not sure why supporters clubs get such bad press on here. They will be currently pushing their members to go to Newcastle away as they will want to fill their coach, they do that regularly when ticket sales are poor, they put bum on seats when others put bums on armchairs because it is warm, cosy and the match is on the tele. Getting a fair system is nigh impossible but Supporters Clubs are there week in week out and that is why the club help them.
I know I will get flak for this post so let me just say, I am not a member of a supporters club.

Do you honestly think Its fair that OSC's get let's say 800 out of a 4000 allocation?

I’ll also be there on Tuesday along with lots of other independent blues without an helping allocation from the club
