Why we will win the league!

We as city fans don’t seem to care if we ‘don’t retain’ the league but are more concerned about one particular team winning it (Liverpool) ... bet most of us would gladly take it if Chelsea or Spurs were to somehow win it ahead of Liverpool (if we weren’t to win it this year, obviously) ... that’s the difference ... while our fears are of someone else winning it, Liverpool fans are worried about their own team fuckiting it up ... so tensions and nerves over there are 1000 times more than whatever we’re feeling ... and exactly what makes them more combustible and that nervousness can be easily passed onto the team/manager over there than it is to effect our players that way. We saw a bit of it against Leicester and now watch it happen again tomorrow against Pelligrini’s men (although being away might not be as much as it’d effect them at their remaining home games at Anfield).

Plus the fact that we have three other competitions we’re still in means all will be getting enough game time to keep everyone happy ... over there, one bad performance by a certain player individually would put pressure on the manager to change things, pressure from fans to change something, pressure from players sitting on bench to change ...

That overall pressure from within is going to combust it all for them ... and very soon!

And it’s going to be very sweet ... for ALL football fans up and down the country ;)

Just checking the records:
- Liverpool haven't beat Chelsea at home in any competition since May 2012 and even that came when Chelsea were resting players for the Champions League final. Already lost at home to them this season.
- They also have 1 win in 12 games at the swamp and that was back in 2014.

We still have both of those corresponding fixtures left and don't nearly have a record as bad as theirs.

You can't imagine they'll put both of those records to bed *touch wood*, so plenty of reason to believe we're well in this.

As long as we stay within two games. A West Ham result tomorrow puts us in a really good position to pounce. Hopefully West Ham's fans get their players right up for it. Not many opposition fans like Liverpool, so hopefully the away games are tough and their home games are nervy.

Just don’t see City winning the league as sooner or later those blind bent tossers who deny us stonewall penalties will cost us a tight game

Don't panic. The league is nailed on certainty. Why? Barney Ronay in the Grauniad says Liverpool will not slip up yet again. He gets eveything wrong.

And now your gonna believe us we’re gonna win the league. Sing it loud and proud at Everton. We are the champions the champions of ENGLAND

big brace of games now, if we can beat Everton then Chelsea, even if Liverpool win tonight and against Bournemouth, they'll be really feeling the pressure. Business time.

Well it is most definitely fucking on now. Liverpool have had a number of chances over the past few weeks to bring the hammer down and remove us from the equation, not only have they failed to do that, they’ve somehow managed to let us get even closer to them. It’s time for the real City to stand up now and fucking crush it for 13 games.

If we didn't mess up the Newcastle game, we would be at 62 points already same as Liverpool.

They are struggling for sure (started since the Wolves and Brighton game), but what worry me more is our "consistency". And the thing is when we struggle, we lost to the bottom of the list teams. And when they struggle, they draw. Sigh..

Need to play every game as a cup final now . I didn’t think there luck would run out but if looks like it’s starting. Klopp is losing it aswell so that’s good. Massive midweek game now .

At the start of Jan we played them and the gap could have been 4pts, 7pts or 10pts by the end of that game. It became 4. Despite losing away at Newcastle, a month later we are 3pts behind. Two huge games for us. Win both then ignore the league, enjoy the CL and league cup final and hope our neighbours do us a favour and beat the dippers. Then enjoy being top for our next league game whilst they sit and sweat with only two competitions to play in.

No prizes for guessing which forum I copied and pasted this from ;)

Yay, Everton will roll over and City will go top, everyone will be happy and those pesky Scousers will be put back where they belong, normal service shall be resumed and the inevitable procession to collective Guardiola worship will be complete. Especially for Manuel Pellegrini, helping the club that sacked him and treated him so despicably, the one that he so desperately loves, along with everyone at the London Stadium and Goodison, hell, the entire fucking world. Woohoo, let's all celebrate the endless success of the appalling human rights record of the financial dopers.

Fuck this bollocks, am out.
