No doubt they're in great form but they aren't in the same league as Leroy talent wise.

This guy has true game winning ability and is a potential Ballon d'or winner.
I dont believe anyone is saying Leroy isn't a great talent. The argument is that the others are in better form, which I would agree

As for them both being not in the same league - you will catch a few with that

What the fuck are you on about?

Is 1 free kick all it takes for people to start denigrating our other players? Raheem Sterling has 30 goals and assists in 34 games, he is a world class player and one the premier league players of the season.

Game winning ability? Raheem Sterling wins us games, time after time. Wednesday was one of them, you might remember.

Great form? 70 goals and assists in 80 games over 2 seasons isn't a patch of good form.

Not in the same league? Fuck off.

It's a competitive squad. Why can't people just work out that they all deserve to be in the team, they are all great players but there's competition for places?

I for one am just glad we have both.

The amount of fun I have had seeing Sterling and Sane in full flow on either flank.... to me they are better than Giggs / Beckham in terms of sheer joy of their football, oaceand ability to devastate opponent flanks

Spot on

The lad has magic in his boots and the attitude to match.

I love the arrogance tbf.

You can tell how his game is going to go within the first 10mins of every game however but you roll with it. He has that match winning ability in him the same as Raheem.

Pep loves his wingers/false strikers, just look at the ones he has had over the years; Henry, Villa, Messi, Robben and Ribery. Huge emphasis on his tactical setup is reliant on them.

You ok there bud?. Just take it easy. It's a football discussion, not a personal attack on your mother.

To say that they aren't in Sane's league isn't to say they're aren't very talented. They are.
However, Leroy Sane is in another bracket and has the potential to be one of the best players in the world. Sterling and Bernardo do not.

And no, that's not based off one free kick. That's based off a number of games he's played over the last two seasons, and the fear both opposition players and fans have of him.

Bernardo Silva not got the potential to be one of the best in the world? You should find another sport.

Excellent player, tireless worker, and complete professional, but I'd probably say no at this stage.

Get your blue glasses off.

He'd start for pretty much every top club in the world and he's seen as the player to carry Portugal after Ronaldo. Bernardo is a special, special player and will absolutely be one of the best

Like I said, maybe try a different sport...We know Guardiola thinks he's currently one of the 2 or 3 best players in the country, and we know from Marti Perarnau, the guy who lived in Pep's pocket for a year, that he thought when we bought him he could be one of the 3 best players in the world.

So the boss is in love with him, Benfica think he's the most talented player to come through their academy, and the national team is being built around him post-Ronaldo.

What flaws and limitations is it you're seeing that they can't?

The very best players have that extra something about them. They can turn matches on its head. They can win you a game out of no where, against the tide of momentum, with a piece of brilliance. Regularly. They pull off moves that leave you stunned and in awe of their skill. They put fear in the opposition, who feel relieved when they're not playing.

As good as Sterling and Bernardo are, how many fans can honestly say they have the above?. It's not a criticism, and it's not a flaw. They just don't have the talent Sane does. Nothing to get angry about or be ashamed of.

We all know the competition for starting places is intense. I also accept Leroy has sometimes looked below par (although not alone). However, Sterling + Sane together are a must for at least a significant part of every key game. Both are capable of producing rabbits out of hats.

If I were a defender I’d be terrified.

Totally OTT and frankly embarrassing

I can honestly say that Sterling and Bernardo have the above. It's like you've blocked out the things they've done. Sterling in particular. Ffs man. The number of quality goals he's scored for us over the past 18 months. Some of them stunning last minute winners. Can't believe some of our fans...some of Bernardo's finishes too for us have been fucking sumptuous. His performance against Liverpool was absolutely WC too. You'd struggle to find a more complete midfield performance.

He has to be a wum

I’ve lost count of how many matches Sterling has turned. As for Bernardo, his contribution is less through goals than all-round contribution. If we were offered £120m for him tomorrow, how many Blues out of 100 would say “take the money”? I’d guess somewhere between zero and diddly squat.

Not only that, with Sterling & Sané we create so much space for the central midfielders to exploit. That does however mean the full backs can't switch off for a second. Our frequently do. It's a fine balance.

I Fully agree with you,I think the notion hat Sterling & Bernardo aren't World Class is simply silly. But I do also see where the lad is coming from. I personally believe whilst Sterling & Benardo are World class, I do also think that Sané could be in that mini bracket above with Mbappe in a few years.
Say, Bernardo at Modric level, Sterling at Robben level but Sané as Ronaldo level. Sterling though, continues to raise his bar. I wouldn't bet against him reaching silly levels. His dedication is something else.

Just my opinion.
