Looked to me as though he kept holding the back oh his leg and not totally comfortable
Thought he was average in the first half, though wasn’t helped by us continually looking for Mahrez, but came out in the second half like a smacked arse.
Don’t know if he’d had a strip torn off him at half time but looked as disinterested as I’ve ever seen a footballer in those few minutes before he was hooked.
Does his contract run until 2021 or 2020?I am beginning to fear the same. Hopefully, he looks at the tea leaf and realize Bernardo will be moving to the Center next season and his only competition will be Mahrez, and even if he loses out to Mahrez, rotation btw the 3 will be necessary and he can get enough PT.
But right now the gulf in performance btw Sterling & Bernado to Sane & Mahrez is huge and he simply isn't at their level right now

So no need to panic in terms of him potentially leaving on a free. Wouldn't surprise me if he leaves in the summer though. Personally I think the ceiling to his potential is so high that we would be much better trying to resolve any differences than letting him go and signing a replacement. But clearly he would need to sign a new contract in the next 10 months, ideally 6 months or we are going to have to get rid. I'd be gutted to see him go tbh.2021

I'm a bit sceptical about his potential and think he's already [almost] reached his ceiling. Sane is a very good wing dribbler who is unable to effectively play 'inside' as he lacks vision and ability to assess surroundings quickly. Xavi and Pep himself have openly mentioned this shortcomings. So no need to panic in terms of him potentially leaving on a free. Wouldn't surprise me if he leaves in the summer though. Sane's pace and power are very impressive, so people tend to overlook his low footballing IQ. Sterling is currently so far ahead in this regard.
Edit: mind you, I thought the same about young CriRo, but he have somehow managed to become an incredible goalscorer.
He tries to touch the ball at highest speeds and with highest risks to gain a big advantage. Naturally, it sometimes fails but you shouldn't confound it with a bad touch. He has a great touch but as all things in football, they're ridiculous harder when performed at a high speed. He needs to improve his first touch and ball control imo.
Totally agree. Sterling is excellent on the left these days but still better on the right. Bernardo is better in the middle than out wide anyway IMO and Sane is just an out and out match winner who full backs can't handle when he's in the mood. I don't buy the line about Leroy not working back and helping his full back either. Sometimes might have the odd lapse in concentration in that area but it's not lack of effort. Regularly see him sprinting back 70 yards to save our arses when we are looking exposed on the counter. Looks like all isn't well between Pep and Leroy though, just really hope they can sort it out otherwise we lose a player with incredible ability and potential and signing a replacement wouldn't be straight forward anyway. Mahrez looked like he should be a good signing but is really floundering on the other side so any signing is a risk.He is quite obviously a future candidate for the best player in the Prem or maybe the world.
I don't give a fuck if he has a few bad games personally.
Imo, our current strongest team has him, Sterling & Bernardo Silva all fully fit, playing in it.
