Is Mendy ever going to play for us? I mean, what is actually happening with this lad?
Disappointing for sure. When i saw him play against us for Monaco, i thought he was a top player. Bad luck with injuries but his joking and fucking about is getting on my nerves now. He needs to treat his career a bit more seriously. Reminds me of Micah Richards, in fact they could be brothers. He could have been a lot better than he was, Mendy is going the same way

Agree with that, life's one big joke to him it seems and he's given us nothing yet except for some funny social media messages. I think Pep's patience is wearing very thin with him, so expect another left back coming in this summer.

We should beat Watford comfortably. Our team is capable of scoring half a dozen against them but life isn't like that. If we don't get the break early on it will be another tough game for us. One thing is for sure, it will be physical. Watford can play but they put the boot in and do so on a regular basis. Troy Deeney is a loose cannon and there's a fair chance he will injure one of ours or goad one into a red card -Otamendi or Walker. A win is the main thing now to put pressure of Scousers. Hopefully Burnley will give them a game

None of us, I hope, are blaming him for his injuries. It's unfortunate, but that happens. What I think is getting on everyone's tits — and, I strongly suspect, Pep's first and foremost — is that he doesn't seem to be hurting about it. He goes on to the Wembley pitch, larking around with his mate Bernardo, and you just think to yourself “Wait a minute, lad, don't you want to be out there, doing the actual business?” It's been nearly two seasons, now. Kev has had bad luck with injuries this season, but you get the distinct impression that it's eating away at him. As it should do. I always think of top level footballers as like thoroughbred racehorses, basically (no reflection on their intelligence, obviously, that's not the question). They are born to race. They want to be first out of those traps. That's how it should be. Is it that way with Ben?

This has all been somewhat off topic.

Watford: it's simple, really. If we cannot beat them at this stage of the season, at home, then we probably don't have what it takes to be champions. But we do have what it takes to be champions, we know that.
2-0, I believe. But any kind of three points is fine by me.
One other thing. Strictly as a fan, I absolutely love the two-match-a-week thing. I can't see enough of this team, and I've been getting something akin to cold turkey this week. Really.
But it's good for the lads to have had a full week's rest. But that's my superego talking. Me being reasonable, adult and all that guff. My id says something else.

Regards Mendy, think you need to watch ‘all or nothing’. It’s pretty visible how devastated he is. How hard he’s working.

The love from his team mates and manager show how hard he’s actually trying and how hard it must be for him.
No, he’s not sulking, he’s doing as he sees best to help his team.

I’ve not heard any player or Pep for that matter have any issue with him.

Even when the lad plays, he’s not given fair crack of the whip. He started the season excellently, clean sheets away at Spurs, Liverpool & Arsenal. Plus 5 assists.
Yet, he couldn’t defend apparently..

Hope he gets fit and will help us out for the end of the season.

Each game at a time, Watford are a good side, the right xi with the right intensity and it should take care of itself.

Ederson
Danilo
Kompany
Otamendi
Zinchenko

Gunfighters
Silva
Silva

Sané
Aguero
Sterling.

Full tilt.

Fair enough.
By the way, I can honestly say that I'm not one of those who ever said that he couldn't defend. On the contrary, I think this lad can be a hell of a player, in every department of the game. That's what makes it so frustrating.

Me too mate, makes the midweek more bearable when City are in action. Just wait another couple of weeks until the shitty international break comes again FFS.

lot of people on here seem to know Mendy's thoughts about his own injuries, so i'm glad BM have got that sorted.

Watford have to be beaten. They'll sit deep and look to other teams that play, even at 1-0 down, to spring a trap.

this is the last league game for 3 weeks and while we have Champs League a few days later, this game is priority. Full tilt full strength XI.

Win this, go 4 points clear and watch Liverpool sweat under the pressure of having to win their next 2. They fail to do that and we stay top over the international break with a game in hand.

Go strong in this one and we should be able to slightly rotate in the Champions League game.

Ederson
Walker
Kompany
Otamendi

Bernardo
